I thought DRG is one of the most consistent players overall. He had like a slump in ca 2011, but since the he plays consistently on a high niveau, not being Top 5 Zorg, but always close to it.

Huge 2 base baneling bust vs standard muta opening. soO kind of held but he got quite a bit behind and it kind of snowballed from there.
To expand off this, DRG kept bane busting after bane busting his for like 5 min. it was going on for so long that DRG's banes AOE had hit SoO's natural hatchery when going for drones/lings that he actually killed it. From there, soO could only make like 3 mutas but was adding on more, but DRG got his own spire after seeing a low muta count and killed him with lots of ling runbys and such.

He lost his natural Hatch to baneling detonations which have been going on all the time although I'd assume he still had some transfuses (at least he did use transfuses shortly after). Then he got his Spire before DRG even got a Lair and he still was behind in upgrades all game long. I mean, DRG played that really well, but I don't think soO should have lost this.

I'm quite positive he didn't have any transfuses as queens kept dying/transfusing the spine but I might be wrong. The major fuck up was not going armor upgrade once he scouted mutas AND not making safety banes at home but he was still behind.

I think soO hoped he'd be able to hurt DRG more and kill him before a muta showoff happens, which is why he upgraded so late. As for the transfuses.... probably, he used them on other units like spinecrawlers and queens IIRC.
