What's with all this naniwa hate? I believe that Naniwa is the only foreigner that could potentially be a threat to the koreans... not in his current shape but if he keeps practicing.

people always hate on good players

y, as evidenced by the huge amount of hate players like Snute or Bunny receive

good players that arent on liquid

Lilbow, VortiX, 2014 Welmu, ...

People hated on Vortix all the time. called a patchzerg left and right. No one outside of Finland gave a shit about Welmu. France has become very vocal on here lately which is why Lilbow is so loved

The whole series Naniwa has done this great strategy of keeping showtime in bay using blink stalkers. If only he had been a tad better in keeping them alive, he could have already won ...

Both players seem to be so precautious with their moves in this game.

I do like how he exploited that backdoor to the 3rd, I forgot that alley existed.

If your future in WCS Season 3 depended on a single PvP, you'd be pretty careful too.

Fair enough on VortiX, although in HotS he wasn't as hated on. However no, Welmu was the best foreign Protoss basically from the moment NaNiwa left to somewhere in early 2015, and repetedly made the Ro8 of old WCS. And didn't get hated on. Anyway my point is that NaNiwa doesn't get hated on just because he's a "good player", that's absurd.

I think a big story is how he focused on Sentries, which had to be remade and ate up gas, thus delaying Colossus tech.

Ok fair. It's more that he gets hated on for a mix of his attitude and his very vocal fan base. Pretty much any player that has had a very vocal fan base gets a group of very vocal antifans. It was a lot more common when more people watched sc2. MKP had a lot of fans. MKP had a lot of people who didnt like him. It wasn't because he acted like a dbag. Stephano had a lot of vocal fans. Stephano had a lot of vocal anti fans. Scarlett had quite a few vocal fans. Scarlett had quite a few vocal anti fans. You see it in pretty much any sport. It is more common with good players because they are the ones that are more likely to have loud fans. But yes, you're right. It's not the direct cause and it's not 100% true. It's just something that is usually seen together
