To put it simply back in BW Effort was an SS class zerg so his contract was expensive as hell. They essentially refused to increase his pay to what he wanted (a pay worth of a top class player which they didn't want to pay but still wanted him on their team) but they refused They also stopped him from switching his team( dunno by what means) that could have offered more money. Then they released a fake notice of his retirement ( as some sort of pressure move like you are with as or you aren't a progamer statement) and Effort decided to tell them to go fuck themselves It's all about money they didn't want to pay him more money so they used any excuse and shady shit to avoid that A lot of that happened after the whole matchfixing incident too so it was all a mess with sponsers taking a step back and teams blaming players for matchfixing a lot. | ||

Progaming didn't exist outside of Korea. During his SC2 retirement, he decided to take care of his (now deceased I think) mother. | ||
