I think that a hardcore ByuN fan came to him after his loss to Seed. They argued about him throwing the series and the fan killed ByuN by accident. He nevertheless managed to gather enough information to be able to impersonate ByuN and succeeded in making Prime believe he had gotten some condition that hindered him from making public appearances. To honor the memory of the player he loved so much, the fan worked his ass off on the ladder and managed to become a code S level Terran, and has been playing qualifiers instead of his idol since. Explains everything.
