By the way with his win Maru almost secured himself a spot in KeSPA Cup. Taking the ranking they showed during the broadcast, it seems this time they'll only consider round 3 (and no playoffs) for seeding. Realistically, fighting for spots would therefore be:
Maru 5-2 soO 4-0 Life 4-2 Zest 4-3 GuMiho 3-0 HerO 3-0 DRG 3-1 Bomber 3-2 Flash 3-2 (3 win guys basically need ace match wins though to be certain)
Stats and INno (both 3-1) not fielded this week so out of luck (I guess if INno wins an ace match and soO loses against Myungsik INno could tie with him).
Not sure what happens if there's a tie by the way.

Stork was a great BW player but I question his coaching decisions... I've questioned them for a long time and Solar for ACE doesn't help any. There are so many better choices there. You're playing on a map that sucks for Terran yet you know you're facing either Maru (despite the map because he's that good) or Rogue... and you choose Solar? Why would you do that? He has a worst shot at taking down Maru (even on this map) and Rogue in a ZvZ (Solar's worst match up). It just doesn't compute. Yes, I know he used to be good but he isn't anymore. I can understand giving one of your old-star players more shots than they probably deserve because you're sentimental and want to break them out into what they used to be. We see this all the time with MVP and MarineKing but come on... There has to be a breaking point where you say "Okay you've lost almost every single game you've played... if you want to get TV time, you'll have to earn it like everyone else". You ESPECIALLY don't play a guy like this in an ACE match and ESPECIALLY don't play them when your playoffs are on the line. It's just poor poor decision making. Even if he wins that match I'd disagree with the pick unless he has a super-snipe build which I don't see happening on this map ZvT vs Maru and especially in a ZvZ.
While I'm on this topic, why don't you send a guy like Hurricane out more? This guy is on the rise being solid in Proleague (especially by Samsung standards) and qualifying for the Sbenu Starleague S2 just a couple months back showing great games (I saw them all and this guy has some serious talent) including a 3-0 on Rogue and 1-2 to Maru. Even he seems like a much more viable option than Solar here.
Granted, I'm not in the team house and see how everything is going but from where I'm sitting, Samsung needs some better decision making. I love Stork, I've met him and he's a super nice guy but when you're a coach you really need to do what's best for your team's results. That's how you keep your sponsors happy and guess what, if you're team is winning your players will be more driven and happy as well.

I'm sure that it's due to internal rankings. I haven't been able to watch the games, but were they usually his opponent reading him, or is Solar not as good as he used to be?

I wouldn't say Solar is worst than he used to be. He looks the same but that's a problem. As a game progresses and gets older, the community naturally gets better. I would say he's just been surpassed and is now far worst in comparison to his competition as a whole. I don't know if he just doesn't theorycraft enough, practice things outside his comfort-zone, or what the problem is but he seems to have just not changed and everyone else has naturally gotten better and surpassed him. He is also just a super predictable player and that's a problem in Korean league formats where you prepare for your opponent. Foreign tournaments you can get away with it because it's like playing the ladder (numerous opponents/matches in a day) but in Korean tournaments, you can't get away with being overly predictable and never evolving. Not one bit.
