Is Life not confident against Dream? Only games he won are by cheese. I don't understand.

DAMN IT! AHHHHHHHH!!!

==

That being said, the hype was realized. Good games all around. I mean, wtf was that proxy hatch by Life xD

Dream continues to shit on everyone that called him overrated. His TvP is pretty damn good, but I think he's going down to herO. Which means there is only one left who can save us from PvP finals, one left to carry the Zerg race now that our deity has fallen...

kryptonite makes you play weak. Life played pretty godlike and Dream faced him head on and won.

Life was just below godlike. Godlike, he wouldn't have lost 12 mutas at Dream's 3rd for no reason .

not really. 8-8 total over the last 3 series. i'd rather see maru-life but it's a pretty solid rivalry at this point.

I refuse to believe maru v life could ever compare to the game quality of dream v life

I dunno, did you see the finals of IEM Taipei? I could watch games like that all day. But it could be a matter of personal taste.

Why did Life waste money on roaches in game 5 after handling Dream's reapers so well?

Because he has a history of dying horrible deaths to hellbat/banshee pushes.

But if you look at Maru vs herO in that same tournament, wasn't even close to the match we had now. the players just got out of break to play iem

Well, herO is almost certainly beating dream I think, that last game was really close if 2 of those widow mine shots go differently on that push on the third, dream would have lost the game. Whoever says Life wouldnt have won with 3/3 you're delusional, he was 30~ workers ahead for 5+ minutes, but just not possible to get good engagements vs mass WM/marine/thor.

Sadly I don't think 3/3 was actually possible, not with his strategy of doing a strong 2/2 push, it's just too expensive as well getting a useless building + hive then getting the upgrades.

yes but just like you said, he didn't have a chance to grab the 3/3, and if he tried, he might have died earlier anyway.
the unit comp relies so much on momentum.

Life had a few chances to go hive and get 3/3. Instead he chose to all in at Dream's 3rd. Even in that engagement Life could have done a lot better than 1A'ing everything he got.

I doubt anyone is confident against Dream in a TvZ macro game, that is where he looks the strongest, even for Life

I'd say Maru vs herO was just solid all the way through but no extraordinary games. Bunch of 3-4 star material.

Life vs Dream g1 and g5 were definitely worth a watch. g1 for being weird and g5 for being very exciting.

the choice of going for 3/3 is made way before that engagement I think and once you have choosen the 2/2 road you can't really change your mind. Life didn't a-moved, he did brilliant engagments all game long that allowed to stay in game for a long time, but Dream never made the critical mistake that would have allowed Life to get a grip on the game. In particular the way he choosed to take the worward 3rd and how he managed to defend it was brilliant : hard as hell to do, but so rewarding if you manage to...

Life kept trying to hit the economy, loosing a lot of army in the process, the damage was never critical, so in the end Dream won. It could very have been the other way around if Dream had not played this brilliantly.

If anything, that's what I don't like much about Life's style : if the terran can mutlitask and micro just nearly as well as Life, Life will loose no matter what. He's relying too much on his mechanics superiority and it's a double edged sword. He's always on a timer, you could almost call this an all-in...

I didn't catch this live and watched it from the vods.
I also downloaded the videos from youtube, because it is buggy for me at the moment, and was quite happy that the preview picture (usually the face of a player) didn't give away who was leading in the series
