This match should be as about exciting as it gets from a fan perspective

Taeja has always shown he's capable of taking down Kespa monsters like Innovation, Zest, and was one game away from probably winning Blizzcon if he won against Life. Yeah and by that logic Sjow is the greatest foreigner who ever lived because that one time he beat Life Come on now. TaeJa has consistently played on par with Life in weekend tournaments. In the GSL/WCS preparation format he never achieved that much, but in the weekend format he was an actual top player who didn't need to luck out to do well. Okay, so in the big leagues where legends are made and champions play at their best; in an system where the "strategy" in RTS was half of the match,Taeja was never very relevant. Explain to me why he should be as highly rated as he is by some TOTALLY UNBIASED, NOT AT ALL AFFILIATED writers? Taeja beat some big names in an environment where he was comfortable occasionally, but those big names ALWAYS beat Taeja in Korea where they could prepare for him. Would you really say that 2 semifinals and a couple ro8's in a career that has spanned 4-5 years really befits the player that is being called the THIRD GREATEST OF ALL TIME? I would say winning more Premier tournaments than any other player certainly makes him a contender for 3rd greatest. It's not like he 2-raxed a bunch of foreigners to win those tournaments.
I'd respectfully disagree. You can win the minor leagues all you want, you can't be Micheal Jordan if you barely make the playoffs in the NBA.

The question is basically how high you rate weekend tournaments. If you go by overall performance, it's between Life and Taeja who is the number one. If you start to rate GSLs and similar Korean tournaments very highly, Taeja drops in ranks very fast (and Mvp rises). Number 3 is kind of a comprimise, one that I feel like isn't 100% consistent given how we have players like MMA or MC also being brilliant in both, but not out of line either.

This is why downtimes need to be nuked in tournaments. So that we don't have time for the 6054054004040th TaeJa debate to arise

That's just a dumb analogy and you should be ashamed for it. The tournaments may not have been called GSL, but that doesn't make them easy. The competition is strong and in part overlaps. It's like winning everything in Tennis except for Roland Garros.

I really don't like the KT uniforms. I think that shirt looks like part of a fitness body straight from 70s.

it's a bit mean to call it dumb and say he should be ashamed of it.
I think it's more like in the golfing world where they have the PGA tour and then they have the majors. Now Taeja is one of the best at winning those tour events and getting points which is a hard thing to do. But in the major tournaments...never really does anything and the best golfers of all time are all major winners. In any debate it's always
Nicklaus, Palmer,Woods. all major winners.

wtf. A zerg the caliber of life should never lose 3 drones to a reaper.
