i'd prefer something self contained in a 1-2 season story arc. i did watch darker than black which was pretty decent.

It's not true atm, actually. If you watch herO's PvT since at least the beginning of the year he has done almost entirely oracle openers. (this reflects the popularity of factory/mine drop openers)
Even in his SSL interview he said that blink openers are weak against too many terran openers.
It seems he has been permanently marked "the blink guy" and people don't pay attention to his modern openers.
