To scare students enough that they don't say "fuck this" to the absurd system of institutionalized education. In essence, the same reason you lot have them.
Afaik, in the new educational, even though there's a lot of talk of standardization, schools and states can define what their own level of what "proficiency" is and what "passing" is.
Teachers are needed for specialized help, like a 3rd grade kid who can't read and will repeat 3rd grade unless there is an intervention, with the teacher helping him out. Teaches obv needed to also teach the class.

well, saying "make blink stalkers is a good idea" isn't that bold of a prediction in PvZ
I just found out the last time Ret and Welmu played (3 months ago), Ret won 4-1 in a dingit showmatch. No one probably saw it though cause it was on Dingit
also Ret is 9–6 (60.00%) in games and 3–2 (60.00%) in matches against Welmu.

No, I practiced proxy nydus + broodlord
9 pool 14 overlord 14 double gas 100 gas speed next 100 gas lair lair finshed infestation pit make 2 sh and tech to hive make a nydus put two drones in nydus in case one of them fails proxy a spine in their nat (main too obvious but could work sometimes) if second drone survives proxy a hatch too cause broodlords are slow start + range attack to make queens stronger in case of basetrade. start greater spire and some corruptors Make broodlords a move ez win Something like that?

Waiting for the lings is not a good idea actually. Hydras take a fuckton of force fields to deal with (even more so with good micro, tho ret didn't really show it there) Which makes the ling follow up scarier. While lings are rushing across the map you bank gas for the tech switch.

Meh, if TLO had bothered to set up a good defensive position at his gold before the fight he could have won it, I'm not sure what he was doing with his army but it was a bit out of position when nerchio attacked

TLO had his hydras in the front line against roaches. Roaches rammed themselves through TLO's soft front and went deep into TLO's army

A roach ram, that would be a cool upgrade. So they deal damage by running other units over but they lose the ability to shoot.

Except in that analogy there's no KT or T1 or CJ equivalent in the foreign scene.
Root?
Is Root supposed to be the equivalent of Prime or ST-Yoe?
Don't think so , ST especially seem to have a tough time getting money off people despite being a really good team. Root sort of has the opposite issue

Who would be the equivalent in an international PL? TL is Jin Air, I'd say mYi is SKT, ROOT might be a Samsung. Prime would be Prime, Yoe would be the most apt fit for StarTale, IG is like MVP.

Why does people keep insisting on Cactus Valley LE being the largest map in the pool? It's the 3rd largest at 156x156, followed by Iron Fortress at 160x160 and finally Inferno Pools at 180x180. Who started this silly rumor about that?

I'm pretty sure some foreign teams are already better than prime.
haha no
depends what you mean by foreign. mYi has enough Koreans to beat Prime with the support of some foreigners
mYinsanity has enough strong foreigners to beat Prime without the support of their Koreans.
I like mYinsanty but even i don't think that's true
If you made a team of all the top foreigners, they could beat Prime.
All 4 of mYi's top foreigners can beat Zoun and current B4. That takes it to an ace match at minimum.
dont underestimate Zoun he is the new up and coming protoss hope
Until he gets up and comes somewhere, my statement stands.
I don't think any foreigner on mYi would beat BBooongBBoong
You overestimate B4's current ability level. (You also vastly underestimate mYi's foreigners, but that was established some time ago.)

Speaking of top in the context of foreign players is silly anyway. We all know they're no good, only Koreans are good, therefore only Koreans can be "top". It should be "Is Lilbow among the 5 least terrible foreign Protosses?".

It's worth asking because foreigners now have their own protected premier tournament, WCS EU and NA.

The only good foreign Protoss is therefore StarDust.

Pretty sure warchierf proved NA Masters > Korea GM.

who would win between Showtime and Hasuobs in their respective primes? hypothetical
Depends on how good ShoWTimE will become in the future and Obviously the 6-time EPS champion; HasuObs is the only one worthy of #1 in stuchiu's top 15 GOAT list.
When I think of Hasuobs, I don't think of EPS champion, I think of the guy with the killer micro who annihilated a poor fly on live tv before his match

Only a 6-time EPS champion has that kind of control!

lol.
MarineKing salvaging bunkers. To salvage you have to build them first, silly.
to be fair MK missed his nestea award by salvaging his bunkers vs Dear in a game he pretty much should have won after defending the 4 gate
Swagger, not Dear. Or am I thinking of a different MarineKing salvaging bunkers incident? Because it was definitely salvaging Bunkers against Swagger that knocked MarineKing out of the Up and Downs and into League of Legends.

It was in the same group. Marineking played Dear on Akilon and lost after salvaging his bunker. if he had won that map he wouldnt have had to play in the tiebreakers

Except in that analogy there's no KT or T1 or CJ equivalent in the foreign scene.
Root, myinsanity, baguette?
Who would be the equivalent in an international PL? TL is Jin Air, I'd say mYi is SKT, ROOT might be a Samsung. Prime would be Prime, Yoe would be the most apt fit for StarTale...

even if you make it bo7 with ace, I don't think top foreigners are likely to make it through YoDa/Creator/Byun
i think the two punch of snute and bunny would make it through them.
I don't really understand what has happened to Welmu. Last year he was so rock solid. This year it seems like he can't get it together somehow, or am I just imagining this?

Well he took few months break, said how his motivation is bad sometimes, didnt have team for some time.
i had to leave before this game. Super happy for Lilbow but I think in general (didn't see the games) uThermal deserves to have a spot in premier. Too bad for him and us terran fans. Better luck next time (and better pick... why Lilbow and not Elfi ?!)
On April 28 2015 01:15 GreenMash wrote: why is mal's stream 4 minutes ahead of the main stream? T_T
i think thats against the rules of WCS, a certain delay is required to prevent streamcheating.
Quick, someone pulls a NaNiwa before Mal fixes his delay !
weird thing was the twitch delay wasnt being applied. after realizing it wasnt, i ended the stream and restarted using obs built-in delay. sorry about the confusions. idk why it wasnt working today.

Yeah, I really believe uThermal made a big mistake by putting Lilbow ahead of elfi on his list. That's completely ununderstandable given their current form. And Lilbow made him pay this mistake very hard today. But besides this, uThermal didn't play well at all either yesterday.

Ok, lack of motivation and a break goes a long way to explain if he isn't consistently up to the standard that we are used to see. I hope he can take this defeat as a motivational kick in the ass (allegorically speaking) and come back with a no-nonsense I'ma-gonna-eat-you-alive-one-after-the-other attitude for the next season.

foreign starcraft is so hard to predict.
Ret had a higher ZvP winrate going into the series, I wasn't too surprised that he was able to beat Welmu. I think Ret got a lucky draw picking a Protoss opponent in his group and just prepared really well for the series.
