Afreeca TV's Star Streak Event
AfreecaTV is a new streaming platform that originated in Korea and now has gone Global with their new website AfreecaTV. The recently launched website will bring you the best in entertainment from genres ranging from Starcraft, League of legends, Heroes of the Storm, Cooking, and famous KPOP Stars.

Come join us for Afreeca.TV's first ever Starcraft 2 Star Streak event! This is a King of the Hill styled event, where players will compete head to head to earn the Star Streak reward. A Star Streak will be earned when a player has won 5 consecutive matches and beaten the Host of the event on the 5th round. Upon earning a Star Streak, the player will be given the choice to continue for another consecutive Star Streak, or take the prize and walk. Continuing the star streak unlocks the opportunity to earn the total prize of 200$ per week.

This looks awesome! Sadly the timezone isn't EU friendly or I'd join in. Will vods be available after the matches? I'd really love to watch, seems like a cool idea.

Right, this event is mainly for up and coming NA Players, there will be future events sponsored by Afreeca.TV geared more towards EU players, and also in the near future events geared towards GM, and "Foreign Pro Gamers".

From what we have been told the ASS title was insisted on by the Afreeca Korean overlords otherwise it would have been changed so not to conflict with our Archon Super Series (and yes we did intend to have the ASS joke)

Sorry about not updating this thread, in the last week of the event we saw KT Rolster MisO win in the final week, and hit the full Star Streak taking home the entire $200, Also we saw two other StarStreak winners in the final week, One was TheGiantNome and also Sasori who took home the $50! We are hoping for more SC2 Events soon to come, also make sure to keep up to date with the introducing AfreecaTV thread! Thanks for posting!
