I personally go 16 or 17(?) to one shot the spore crawler, the rest goes to VR. But I am no pro

You have to be sure you can kill the viper when it pulls, so it is at least 1 unit for 1 unit, 6 tempests don't do that, I think. Also you have a problem with fungal and static D, basically you will lose to vipers pulls into crawler forest.

Well you need like 14 to one-shot a spore, and you ideally wanna be able to do at least that because mass static defense is a problem in that situation. 22 were probably too many tho.
ShoWTimE was also dead the moment he made a 2nd mothership instead of a nexus when he was low on minerals <.<
