Qualifier (The Qualifier has ended.)

+ Show Spoiler +
We will have a qualifier on Saturday the 21st of March, where 16 players will be found for our Copenhagen Games SC2 live event. These top 16 players will get a direct spot into the 2nd Group Stage, starting at Thursday the 2nd of April, instead of starting with the rest of the players in the 1st Group Stage, the 1st of April. Besides that, the top16 players in this qualifier will get the top16 Seed for the whole tournament.

IF you get into top 16 in this qualifier, on Saturday the 21st of March, you have to go to the event in April. You still have to buy your own Copenhagen Games ticket and cover your own travel expenses, which means, Copenhagen Games will not cover any of these expenses for you, if you qualify through the qualifier on Saturday the 21st of March.

TLDR: If you want to participate in the onsite tournament, you have to cover all your own expenses.

"players must provide their own in-ear USB headset. Players may not use wireless or outlet powered headset." Wait, does this mean you can't use normal in-ear headphones that use a 3.5mm jack?

yeah how dare they award WCS points to players placing the best in tournaments instead of establishing the Charity Fund of Blizzcon Appearances For Foreigners

maybe you don't understand what I wrote, but how can it be fair to have WCS-points awarding tournaments foreigners from premier can't join? I don't know how it would be charitiy to foreigners to have a tournament P-foreigners are allowed to play too...

Yes, this is to determine the top 8 seed and the 9-16 seed. We will stop, when we reaches semis in upperbracket and RO5 in lowerbracket.

Both players signed up for the event and players not signed up for the event could participate in this qualifier. This qualifier was made to determine the top 16 seed to Copenhagen Games and to determine the top 8 and 9-16 seed in the tournament. Besides that, the top 16 in this qualifier got a direct spot into the 2nd Group Stage.
