Wouldn't you rather see a game in which both players are capable of counterplay at any given time? I consider myself to be a strong supporter of the basic idea of forcefield as a spell, despite its many prominent detractors, but until the Ravager is introduced, they make for some very unfun games to watch.

I think the problem isn't so much Forcefield as the abundance of Sentries. If Sewntries were a Robo unit rather than a Warpgate unit (as I suspect it originally was), I think it would be fine.

That's what OneGoal did. I was a bit divided on it, but it seemed to work out to make some pretty exciting games. Sadly everyone played Starbow instead, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms.

I think in the latest builds, they actually removed FF entirely, which I was sad about. I'd love to see them spring back into action for LotV and bring about some of their characteristic subtle, sensible changes to a better core game than WoL and HotS. On a similar note, they completely fixed Swarm Hosts. All that needed to change was removing Enduring Locusts, and boom! No boring, stalematey games, but the SH still makes for a very usable core unit against both mech and Protoss deathballs. Honestly, I think they're getting way too fancy with the unit for LotV. It's a lot easier to redesign for fun gameplay than frustrated spectators and vs Zerg ladder players seem to think.

I've just checked it out, and like many of their ideas, though my personal design philosophy for StarCraft 2 is reduce the hp and supply cost of a ton of units. Things like Roaches are pretty intrinsically boring. Also the reason I was abffled when Starbow brought back the Dragoon. That's not an interesting unit.

HEATHEN! How dare you suggest that there was something imperfect with Brood War! All Brood War units are perfect and fascinating and better than everything in SC2, and fuck David Kim and SC2, they ruined our masterpiece! Brood War is God! It is all that matters in the world!

Dragoons did have that Minesweeping move that was pretty cool, and they've been featured in awesome games like Tempest vs. Light, but it was a boring idea for a unit.

The SBOW dragoon may not be "interesting" but it was smart, it allowed protoss to be aggressive and to aplit their army, the fact that theres no collosus in SBOW shows it.

Dragoon may not be an interesting unit but it was core in making interesting games
