Didn't really like PD, but I can understand why people like it, going to watch the other 2. Every "season" (which is just 3 episodes) has an overarching story, and you could probably say that there is an overarching story across season as well. However, most episodes could be watched as standalones. Also, I jumped into this conversation late. Have you watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood? I think that kepy getting better all the way to the end as well. Nope, but I will watch it. However it doesn't count, because the original point was advocating the power of shounen series :D Have you seen Shingeki No Kyojin / Attack on Titan? I have, and I'm really looking forward to whenever Season 2 does show up. I decided not to read the manga because I liked the anime a lot. It's probably in my top 3 alongside HxH (2011) and FMA:B. HxH 2011 what a series. I just rewatched 2 of the final CA Arc episodes fuck you Togashi work faster He's sick right ? He had surgery fairly recently, but he's also notoriously lazy or at least inconsistent - chances are that if the anime were to ever resume at all, we're 6-7 years from that point in the best case scenario T_T Since there is a lot of anime discussion going on, I wanted to ask if there's any animes that are good for someone who typically doesn't watch any. I used to watch some when I was a kid/teen like Cowboy Bebop, Yuyu Hakusho, and Trigun. But every time I try to watch a popular anime in the last few years I can't get past some of the extraneous stuff to even tell if it would be worth watching for the plot. Maybe I'm just getting older.
Hunter x Hunter (2011) starts good but slightly silly and gets gradually more dark and serious (and a million times better). Episode ~90 all the way to the last episode are so good I can't actually put it into words. I would highly recommend it. If you want to watch something shorter, I would recommend Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. I don't watch a lot of anime, but those two really, really captured me.

That's how the whole discussion started :D Death Note is one of the best transitioner into anime (I've tried this on atleast 10-15 people). Naruto is a good start aswell, if you liked 'dragonball z' when you were young. It's like ; you watch DBZ when you're 12, you watch Naruto when you're 18-70.

I'm starting to feel creepy but whatever, all about viOLettttttt Well, as much as I like viOLet I'm pretty sure that if I took twenty random girls in my street and showed them pics of Zest and viOLet, and asked them who looks better, Zest would wreck viOLet. I don't know. My girlfriend doesn't like Zest. I'm crazy for Zest though.. People with over 4500 posts on TL don't have girlfriends. Yeh, they are probably married.
