He can make it work but why wouldn't you invest in a Muta Flock especially on THAT map and THAT terran :/ Yea it works on other maps, but not effectively. With Swarm Hosts you have less Mutalisks to stop drops and to snipe off Medivacs.
I mean Snute has a style that works for him but he seems really rigid at times. Always a safety roach warren and swarmhosts. He could have benefited from the early muta flock especially against a guy called the "terrorist terran."

I don't think it's quite fair to judge the validity of his strategy just based on that game alone; there are many games of Snute's that showcase why it can be very strong. What I would really question is these small amounts of roaches that he's been making the past two maps. Both players were playing fairly evenly, but the roaches, they really didn't do anything for him. And small edges make a big difference when both players are playing evenly. it's his way to be safe vs hellbats. 1 gas roach warren and 7(?)min 3rd with mass queen

It feels like that both games were lost because he had no way to defend the drops and it was too late when he made a good amount of Mutas. He didn't skip making mutas. He lost 10 mutas earlier to marines when he misrallied them. He went full foreigner.
Oh I guess I missed that.

A good Terran will never lose units and its basically free damage. never fall behind Even if you're ahead Terran can just drop 2-3 medivacs full of marines and kill your base/snipe tech if you're just a little inattentive. And then they just boost and lose nothing. your fault if you can't prevent it. you're supposed to try and catch and the medivacs with mutas and clean the bio with ling-bane
Snute lost his first flock of muta's for nothing too.

Well, it looks like flying to europe really worked out well for Fantasy.
|
to be fair, inferno pools is a terrible map for zerg with horizontal spawns. losing the mutas early didn't help either. but still, snute played pretty well overall. I hope he's less tired than his opponent in the 3rd place match. He'd really deserve it.

Cure's splits are failing He's probably dying on his seat

Cure must be really tired, hardly any good splits.

I can't help but feel that way as well

Have to say I really like the way Fantasy plays with his bonkers macro, and insane multitasking drops.
Terran. The way it's meant to be played. ™

Fantasy is bad at this. In BW it was self-evident that he was brilliant player, but here... Meh. Glad he is advancing anyway

Cure : Hydra 1:2. Kinda funny how the ESL streams says they will be back for game 4 like 15 minutes ago.
