With dedication and practice I don't think wining WCS AM season 1 would have been too tough for Scarlett. Sad time to lose the passion, but if it's not there you can't force it.
Congrats to Astrea, he played really really well and was obviously prepared.

And with Scarlett now out, I'd like to be the first to congratulate Polt on his WCS America Season 1 victory

Yeah she will probably come back just like MK and Naniwa did. I'm sure most of the pros that left for HoTS will be back eventually for LoTV. You need a change of pace when the results aren't going your way.

Hydra, forGG, and even Snute might have something to say about that :p

Polt's velvet carpet to championship was pre-determined the day region locks were announced

Congrats to Astrea, he played really really well and was obviously prepared. idk even in form I don't know if she would be able to beat the top protoss players or Hydra or Polt. Players like Snute and Bunny among foreigners would also have a solid shot at beating her.

end of an era... good luck to scarlett's one month pursuit in Dota2 and whatever comes in the future. Hopefully she'll restore her passion in sc2.

They simply make fewer overall mistakes and have an esports infrastructure that's so, so, so much more advanced.

Other tough zergs out there too.

Foreigners make as large or larger mistakes than Koreans. And the average level of play is higher, I don't think there is anything wrong with saying that.

And while the average level of play may be higher, I believe that this is merely indicative of how big of a leg up Korea gets on the rest of the planet. But I know better than to prolong this argument for no benefit.

At the tip top yes, but Code A Korean's and even some ro32 Code S players are really the exact same level as your top tier foreigners

Which is why I say the average level of play is higher. Cause for every top tier foreigner there are 5-8 Code A/Code S guys that can give them a run for their money.
