Part super safe part messing with the pathing so immortals and archons couldn't run from the lazor imo
I think it was a game winning decision for san. San likely knew he would kill off the third base, so he could afford to take a hit on his economy to kill off more units - enough units that eventually won him the game

Thanks guys. Was just wondering why he pulled probes because their armies looked like they were exactly the same strength. But seeing how it played out it was a really good decision no question
