>The downtime is enormous. 20 games in 10 hours, none of the games we're really long. There's probably a good 10 minutes downtime to discuss and display adds between games, let alone the time between series, having technical difficulties, long ass ad displays... >The time is pretty poor for EU, starting earlier would net more EU viewers who cannot afford to stay op until 5 at night on mondays. >The scheduling is terrible. As of now, we're not exactly sure when the next games start. That has been the case for the past couple of days. >Lastly, a serious number of important games are simply not cast on the main stage, in a RO8 that is pretty terrible. Instead of that day of downtime, maybe give the players that come all the way out to San Jose and have made it past qualifiers the honor of at least playing their losers match with some flair, instead of on a pretty poorly produced B-stream. All by all, viewer counts are low and I (and probably others with me) am not enjoying this tournament as much as a tournament with this stacked a line-up deserves. Which is sad.

IEM is one of those awesome awesome companies that upload all their series on youtube in one video. They're by far my favorite tournament because of it.

I like that too, makes it easy to download them for long train rides ![]() But still, remember to skip nearly 2 hours after Revival v Polt, as there is NOTHING happening.

I'd agree, though, Snute is not the favorite here. I wouldn't call him the underdog either, since PvZ is not really herO's best MU. Edit: According to aligulac, PvZ is herO#s best MU. That seems very confusing to me. Tbh don't think there are a lot of tosses that are confident in pvz.

WTF? i cant be the only one who really wants to see Snute (last foreigner) and ForGG play? Nope. But TvZ historically draws more viewers, I suppose. And there's Jaedong, Gumiho who is up and coming.... I don't know. The tournament is really oddly produced this time around.

sOs is such a funny character in the sc2 world. There's all these fancy protoss players going to tournaments and everybody talks about them (the Rains, Zests, Partings) while sOs doesn't travel at all and practices instead, people forget about him and then he randomly pops up and wins a huge tournament. Blizzcon, IEM Katowice, Hot6Cup.

Is Carmac still in charge? he has never dissapointed before, nobody has more experience in this business than that guy. whats going on?

There's a ton of very odd decisions going on, and the quality of the whole tournament is flat out below the standard ESL set the last couple of years... He means he wants to see Snute and ForGG play (vs Rain and Hero) instead of Bomber v Revival and Jaedong v Gumiho. The latter two will apparantly be broadcast on the main stage, which displeases Sc2holar and a number of others.

Well I agree mostly, but the time being poor is not a valid point. It's west coast USA, no chance for good times for EU viewers. Hope today will be better. Mostly hoping for longer and better games, so that the downtimes won't be so noticeable.
