Early last year when herO won the IEM most people would've guessed that he'd end up at Blizzcon. In fact if we look at last year's champions of partner tournaments we have from http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2014_StarCraft_II_World_Championship_Series CJ herO, San, Liquid HerO, sOs, Hyun, Zest, Life, Jaedong, Daisy (TeSL, didn't give as many points as the others), TaeJa, Trap, Bomber, Sacsri, Bunny, Sen, Polt, Ragnarok (another low point tournament), Flash, MMA, Solar that's 20 unique players, of which 10 made it to Blizzcon, so that's a 50% rate, but Rain has a higher Aligulac rating than most of those above players so that helps him out a lot if you count repeats, you have 25 partner tournaments, and Blizzcon participants won 15 of them, that's a 60% rate, so it would not be wrong to say that winning a partner tournament gives you 60% Blizzcon chances in a way | ||
