You say Life's run was marginally more difficult, but I think beating Mvp, Dear and Maru was about the same as beating Zest, San and Taeja. Now sOs >> MMA in my book, but since Life actually won I'm giving him the slight edge, but not as big as you make it sound imo.

Agreed. Dear/Maru in 2013 is definitely equal to something like Zest/Taeja in 2014, but facing San as a Zerg is harder than Mvp was for JD at that point in time. I don't know about Life's public opinion though, personally I never truly count out Life for these types of tournaments because he's proven he can beat anyone if he's on point. JD didn't have the same aura, and actually lost pretty badly in the Season 3 finals and mostly had his silver surfer Cinderella story coming into Blizzcon.
