Damn you ESL for producing free content for us!!!!!!!!

You don't HAVE to watch.

This is about taking some responsibility for their production rather than just taking the teenager mentality and saying "piss off if you don't like it". These tournament organisations should also be introspective and asking themselves, what can we do better and where are we failing rather than blaming viewers for constructive feedback

There's a lot more nuance in the second statement than in the first.

I'm also angry at them, but your statement made no sense at all.

How does it make no sense?

I'm not sure if anything you said was constructive feedback. Or even constructive for that matter.

what do you suggest they do? it's not their fault technology is a fucking bitch and doesn't always work.

Something about proper communication, checking and testing ahead of time, etc?

lmao you dont think they check and test ahead of time?

We never see this kind of garbage from TV channels ? This is a professional organisation with duty to viewers and sponsors. I emphasise the word professional because they are getting paid to do this! They are competing for our eyes and ears as viewers.

And yes what the other person said, some communication and acknowledgement from the casters wouldn't go astray, not just leaving us in the dark with a timer

If you read the comment it talks about consequences. If something like this happens at a tournament, other organisers should take notice and learn from these mistakes so they don't happen again. IEM is becoming Blizzcon 2 2014. However they are repeating the same mistakes and not learning and they can afford to do that because there are no significant consequences, not even in terms of viewer loss for them

How does it make no sense?

There are no consequences?

Sponsor troubles

Low viewer counts

Displeased customers

We don't get to ram a pitchfork down Carmacs throat, but there certainly are consequences.

Yeah, and how does that all impact on what they do next time? IT DOESN'T. They repeat the same mistakes again!

how do you fix something in the future that is literally out of your control? i don't think tournament organizers are stupid enough to not try to work on issues to prevent them in the future, but there are things that you cannot control and that's just the way it is. especially with technology and connectivity, issues are frequent and unpredictable.
