Everybody turns sour because we've had a 3 PvZs, a 2 ZvZs and a 3ZvTs, some of questionable quality, all of reasonable length, in 4 hours after which we get a 30 minute break for technical difficulties. We've seen the same ads about 1000-2000 times now.

I'm sorry, but that is simply unprofessional, unpleasurable and in fact, a pretty stupid move, considering they have to explain the things like bad viewer counts and unhappy viewers to the sponsors.

I wonder if sponsors have anything to do with the duration of those comercial breaks (honestly).
As bad as technical difficulties are, there are too many comercial breaks. At least when we watch TV the ads are different

It's pretty clever as H6C starts in 6 hours and is probably better produced, better games, more hype, less downtime, better personalities present.

And we don't have to stay awake for half an hour for "technical" reasons other than to listen to 15 minutes of pregame hype into little bo3 where Polt stomps JaeSlump and another half an hour of downtime......

Ok I just found out I have constipation and I need to stay awake long enough for the laxatives to kick in, or I'll probably wake up to something unpleasant. Entertain me LR thread, help me forget my intestinal woes for but a brief spell.

They probably demand a certain amount of time on the screen or a number of ads displayed.
BUT: sponsors are affected negatively if the events they are associated with have a poor performence, such as technical difficulties or massive downtimes. So, whilst the sponsors may not be directly responsible, they are held accountable by their target audience in some way and as such, are affected negatively. Add to that the fact that less people are watching because of this poor production and you get a combination of people being unhappy with the event you sponsored and pretty poor numbers of viewers for your ads and all of a sudden this investment seems pretty worthless.
