I think KeSPA should send some detectives at MVP's house. What Choya is doing to his player is clearly strange, dangerous and potentially illegal (and it threatens the "historic" KeSPA teams)

TY is much more build and momentum based than some of the other terrans that try play solid and overwhelm the opponent with macro and parade pushes, as a result he wins more in the mid game and has less experience in the late game where he looks lost. He just needs more experience.

3:00 Queen + zerglings for soO. Bunker starts under an overlord at the ramp below the natural. soO immediately pulls drones and forces a cancel Two bunkers go down at soO's natural choke.
4:00 soO not focusing down the SCVs and a bunker finishes. Spine crawler being positioned. Marines are kiting a lot of soO's drones and zerglings. Second bunker finishes.
5:00 9 drones have fallen for soO but TY lost all 3 of his building SCVs. More marines coming out. CC starts in TY's natural. More drones being pulled. TY's bunkers get surrounded by drones and zerglings but most of soO's stuff dies and he GG's! TY wins 2-0!

Yes, I actually find this kinda cute even though I do not like that. What I did hate on the cast from yesterday was his (over)hype of MK and ignoring the fact that his opponents were doing huge mistakes and played poorly.

I like to think sOs knew he wouldn't scout all the way so he built his Gateway like 5 seconds later so Rain wouldn't see it. Probably not true though .

Is there any reason to build the pylon right at the edge of it's power range? It seems like you're asking for something to go wrong, and stepping forward 2 feet more with the probes isn't really losing you money or anything

I do this build from time to time on ladder. It's actually surprisingly effective in diamond league. Either you get a quick and easy win against super greedy tosses (meaning most tosses), or they end up so confused that they don't really know how to react/transition after defending it.
Only thing is, you have to identify a proxy oracle rather quickly to avoid dying...

Yeah, it works pretty well if Protoss(I in this case :D) miss the FF >< Otherwise FF, wait a little and then guardian shield, overcharge, force fields and zealots FTW. On the other hand I defended so much 5 raxes in my history on actual maps that I don't count
Edit: But I am going gate/cyber/expand, not sure if this isn't hardcounter with overcharge :D
Speaking of ads, my god do the newest batch of them seem to lag the shit out of everything. Is it too much to ask to have ads that don't suck up all my very limited CPU power? It's like a competition now to see who can make the most resource intensive one.

the only time soo advanced through the 1st round of one of these korean tournaments between code s seasons was the GSL Global championship. Lost 1st round of last Hot6ix cup. Lost first round of Kespa cup. Loses first round here. You guys are being dramatic

Hm Ty was in a bad spot but what the hell that was an early gg t_t I understand know why TY wished to play against Demuslim at HSC: the best way to learn how to early-gg is to learn from the best

It was completely over. Barring a move command from Rain TY had no chance.
Obviously Rain was in a great position but if i had as much supply as my opponent i'd try to take a fight annyway.... Not even trying that is weird when you're eliminated if you lose that game.

Wouldn't call it a disaster with Zest and Flash still coming up. It's more of a reset, now there is no team with more than 2 players still alive here, because soO got knocked out as well.
So... Rain is gonna be in the H6C Ro8 on December 2... and then in IEM on Dec 4? if he wins his Ro8 match and has to play on the 7th (same day as IEM finals), that might cause some problems

G1 - TY did a 1 rax bunker rush and faked him out. G2 - 2rax and SoO opened pool first which isn't too great. G3 - 8pool on Nimbus vs Rain, ususally P goes Nexus First here, but Rain did not. G4 - Phoenix + Warp Prism/Zealot attack that managed to hit seconds before the Hydralisk were ready. The Prism was barely missed by Zerglings trice.
All by all, SoO got very, very unlucky in his builds and scouting today.

Why are people surprised soO lost? He never does well in these special event tournaments. He got 3-0d in Hot6ix Cup last year. Lost in the 1st round of Kespa Cup. He's a Code S Runner up kind of guy

Well, that one is titled "GSL" and soO does well in those. This one is titled "Hot6ix Cup" and soO does not do well in it. Other than that it's exactly the same. I hope this helped!

also if you are a multiple runner up in GSL you are a pretty good player ya know, that is why it is surprising he lost 4-0

soO is reverse Taeja, can't win special tournaments ever, gets into WCS finals.
