Carmac is trying to get her to say things that could potentially be problematic in future, or to say bad things about her employer/people who did her job in the past, so she's trying to be super diplomatic for various reasons.

WP TL Kim Phan is always honest and helpful regarding everything WCS and Starcraft and has personally came to post on TL to collect our feedback, she deserves our respect. i for one feel that the thousands of hours of free entertainment blizzard has fed me through starcraft and esports are far less than i deserve and they need to cater to my attention deficit disorder by not saying so many words oh wow the irony. I think it's a valid request to not have a 15 minute interview in a 12 hour broadcast, where the only thing that happens is some recycling of already available news and carmac killing his career in a sea of akwardness. Nothing against kim phan, I'm sure she does great work behind the scenes.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to be chill when you have to uphold a professional image and prevent any potential leaks

Well, let's also not forget how toxic the TL community was when Kim Phan first opened a thread on WCS. I actually wrote a heartwarming PM to her to make sure that she doesn't get the wrong idea about us. That'd be the right idea about us. At least, when it comes to anything relating to Blizzard itself.
