... after one game played. Zest won't lose to something like this again. It's weird as hell but he's seen it now. Sora's lategame composition is easily countered, Zest just didn't scout the 3 SGs until Sora had a ton of voids.

That storm drop would have swung the game in his favor hard if he hadn't messed up. Sora had no way to move out, Zest had blink, an oracle, a warp prism. He'd have had an earlier third (which is what you want/need with charge/archon/immortal) and FAR better harass potential.
And his upgrades were ahead.

Why isn't Zest just trying to play some straight up PvP. Two games in a row Sora has shown he wants to macro and Zest is just going for the damage builds.

Zest did the blink -> proxy SG build twice because he'd be behind if he just expands as well. Late reactive nexus with twilight tech vs really fast nexus -> robo? Yeah, you're in really bad shape. Might as well try your luck.
Sora did a 2gate expand -> robo in g2, 1gate expand -> robo in g3.

Not that simple, herO did an anti SCV pull build (skipped the gas on the third geysirs), which gives him a super strong 2/2 midgame. Bbyong wasn't SCV pulling though so he'd have gotten really far ahead, especially after sniping the third. herO's army was of course stronger at that moment though, so herO was smart to try and attack. Bbyong was smart to basetrade and not fight.
