Significant drop off well, the mines are back :p but for a while there he did. he went from the scariest player in the world to a top 8 foreign tournament finisher. it's nice to see him back in good form though. Like I said he isnt at his best but it isnt as massive a drop as people like to think

Just in case you didn't notice yet, Taeja faced only one Korean (Revival) so far. Not that impressive for a player of his caliber to not drop a single map against Top Koreans like DeeMo, DeFCoNSiX, Midday, qxc and Petraeus.

Well we coulda saw Trust, but then he died to Violet. Oh but we had TRUE and Stork...who died to Snute. Ok what aout Zest and Solar! Who died to Taeja. Oh wait, remember that one time TY went to DH...to die to MC. Ok what about Flash! Who died to Yugioh and Dimaga. Oh what about Rian and Classic and Dear! Who died to Polt. sOs did great at 100k tournaments, but at DH lost to Patience.
Now I think the Koreans in GSL/PL are better, but better than 95% of the Koreans that left Korea is pretty gratuitous.

I have to agree some people tend to overestimate kespa players, thinking they only lose to non kespa players when something is wrong with them. While others tend to think Taeja, MC and Hyun are the best players in the world. Both sides are clearly wrong, and im not an all knowing dude, but im sure the truth is between these two extremes.

re: innovation, I was reading piano practice advise and it said that if you practice only technique and not interpretation you will choke at recitals because you'll be suddenly confronted by people actually listening to your performance for the first time and this added complication means your play is no longer natural. Innovation always strikes me as suffering from a similar curse, he chokes because he plays robotically and is pushed off balance when he has to think about the game more in tournament settings.
