Yeah he was doing the pre-med track at Berkeley, took a break to go full-time, and he's starting again this fall.

and i absolutely love suppy and hope he smashes med school and becomes a doctor or whatever he wants to do with it, but... it's not really unheard of to have aspirations of med school and change your mind or drop out from the stress etc.

I'm not sure if talent and dedication applies here. Well maybe talent does. But getting into pre-med school is fairly difficult and you need a lot of time to keep up with your studies, so not sure if being dedicated is enough.
