Not Maru, not Dear, not Bbyong, Roro, Marineking, Parting, not Flash's teammate in the KT Rolster team house TY, but somehow Flash can't play under this same single change? People are different yes. HyuN could still farm Zotac and Go4 cross server. INnoVation can play on EU but not on NA. Maybe Flash just feels slightest delay. Who are you to question him? He's the player and as a caster you don't feel the lag spikes or slightest delay, but as a player you will. He goddamn measures his keyboard and mouse with a ruler, what do you believe are perfect conditions for him? Not a single bit different from what he is used which he simply asks to get. Perfectly fine. And yet he agreed to play SHOUTCraft, in which he had no less than 3 casters from different parts of the world observing the games at any given moment. And he agrees to be casted in the GSL—your point?

Flash is a person who fixes his keyboard position with a ruler. He's a perfectionist, more so than other players.

Its perfectly fine and his choice to deny casters. There is no rule as the admins said. No way to enforce it. As you can see, in Korea there are no replays uploaded for the qualifier which actually IS a rule. If you make strict rules, KeSPa teams and lots of players simply won't play. I'm not saying he should be forced. I'm saying he should follow the exampe of literally every other player we've seen and not be a jackass. Wanting to play under best conditions is not being a jackass. Asking a player to not play under best conditions is ![]() ESL wants to provide good games. If you enforce replays, I am willing to bet money that the KeSPa players won't take part. Yeah I think it's fine if he worries about cross server lag, but the replay thing really ticks me off, always did. They can't just stand above the rules. If they don't want to play, don't, but follow the rules. They show disrespect imo, they would/could never do that in a KeSPA tournament. Mostly I am angry at ESL for not enforcing the rules though. Yeah I'd rather see them not take part then, I think they would come around eventually. Rules are rules and IEM and other foreign tournaments shoudl stop giving them special treatment or they will never change. Let them sit in Korea all year and sooner or later they will budge in I think. Yes and we will miss all brilliant games. Not the price I would want to pay. I would, for a future were foreign tournaments are on equal ground with KeSPA and not at their mercy. I guess we agree to disagree <3 The foreign scene cannot compete with KeSPa. Why would I watch lower level Starcraft if I can see the best of the best? You could put any foreigner in that grid and no one would make it. I am a fan of Starcraft and I want high level play, thats why I am a professional caster now. The price of not getting replays is no big price to pay to see such a tournament. You are kinda ignoring my point about playing hard for a while, to get them to play in the future while following the rules. The foreign scene cannot compete in level of play, but foreign tournaments should be on even level with KeSPA as organisations. It's the korean scene that can not compete with the foreign scene when it comes to money. Sure we sacrifice some games right now, but the foreign market is too big for them to sit out forever. They would come around and finally we are on even terms. The KeSPa teams have a shit ton of money. If you believe there's money missing in Korea to grow the scene you are mistaken. The money is missing for all players to make a living out of being a progamer. It was the same in broodwar even though Broodwar was bigger. As you mentioned in KeSPa tournaments they would follow the rules: yes. But KeSPa doesn't enforce replays and only VODs ![]() A tournament without Koreans won by someone is a minor success, rarely valueable as Naniwa once said. Koreans kind of validate your tournamnet as high level.

Koreans kind of validate your tournamnet as high level. Hm for me it's matter of principals. Follow the rules or don't play and don't give them special treatment. I guess it would be interesting to see, if IEM enforced the rules, who would give in first? Would KeSPA come around and let their players play and upload replays, or would IEM change the rules first to get them to play again. I actually think it would be different from team to team, SKT and KT are really only interested in the Korean market, not so much Samsung for example, who send their players to all kinds of tournaments including HSC and LSC since Samsung has a global market.
