They have some real similarities. Both matches have the potential for epic lategames and an uncomfortable percentage of 1-2 base quick games. Both matches can become EXTREMELY snowbally without the leading player being taken by surprise, Game 1 just now being a perfect examply. Both have certain units that become essentially the backbone of any mirror composition (Tanks/Immortals).

TvT isn't really snowbally. Just look at last game, Ty was ahead, then behind by 20 supply and then came back and the game stll continued with Cure having a potential comeback oppurtunity but Ty kept outplaying him.
Also disagree with PvP late game being good, 9/10 games it's extremely boring late game. TvT is the reverse here.
Early game is also very differently. 1/2base allins only work if you completley outmicro your opponent in TvT, in PvP however the buildorder luck element is much more dominant.
Honestly, the matchups almost couldn't be more different.

Some of those are pretty surface similarities, but the potential for epic lategame is there. The difference is with TvT it can happen even in Gold league, but with PvP you have to have a top 5 Protoss vs another top 5 Protoss for it to be possible.
