We were able to host a tournament at a good time for Korea from America. Not sure of Redbulls logistics of course.

But everything should cater to the koreans, nobody else matters.

Since Europeans have an entire continent that caters to them with regionlocked events, I think they'll be just fine.

haha and NA should just provide $$$ for koreans right (not like it actually is doing sthg different)

Well yes, since there is too much talent in Korea it's important that the wealth is fairly redistributed to those who deserve it

It's all about getting highest viewer count. You should know that...

Qualifiers shouldn't be, they should be about catering to the players.

I guess they could... at the cost of x % of the prize pool.

huh?

If they go for a different time, and have less viewers because of it, the average prize pools will fall. Because less money = less money... Because math.

As far as I can tell from twitch rates, the prize pool would go down by a buck? maybe 2? Who has solid numbers on that?

welp the actual solution would be to make a time decent for Eu and Kr and shitty for NA but from an organization based in NA in a qualifier for a tournament held in NA.
And atm NA sponsors more old fame and koreans in foreigner teams than talent tbh...

Regionlocked events in Europe? Outside of EPS, E-sport SM and a few french events there is no such thing. NA has gotten a lot more regionlocked events while having a lot less talent.

I think you need to make it shitty for the region that is least likely to have players go far and/or make up the majority of the RO32 onwards.

Isn't RedBull's whole deal with Battlegrounds to stimulate and promote the NA scene though?

Not one which is populated entirely by 3 global qualifiers which will all be won by Koreans no. Some of their other events are focused on NA which is totally fine.
