Well you're not the only German to have ever hated the French.

German/english so 2x the hatred

You're like a little ball of hatred for the French.

Everyone hates the French . I had a friend when I was in school who immigrated from France, and he told me that if two French people meet in a foreign country, one will cross the street so they don't have to encounter each other.
I bear this sig to commemorate the loss of the team icon that commemorated Oversky's 2008-2009 Proleague Round 1 performance.

Oh. Yeah, I knew what it meant it French, but figured it meant something different in English, like how FAQ means "Frequently Asked Questions" but somehow became "Foire aux questions" in French.

One of the multitudes of phrases English has assimilated, it is the Borg of languages.

What's funny about French is that the anglicisations vary depending on where you're from :p.

Did not know that, the French are very sensitive about their language.

retarded french elders are. The rest doesn't give a fuck about it :D

That also depends on where you are. If you're in Quebec City or Paris, if you speak French with an Anglo accent, you are literally a non-entity to them. In Montreal nobody gives any fucks what you sound like. And in rural France they're pretty understanding and appreciative of attempts by foreigners to speak the language.

In Paris you're a non-entity whatever your status is anyway don't worry. (even footballers complained about it haha).

Fair enough. Paris is also the only city in Europe I've been to where they can't tell the difference between Canadians and Americans. Weirdest thing, they just assume you're American (and the associated contempt they use thereby) no matter what if you're not UK English. Literally everywhere else people are like 'Canada? WE LOVE CANADA HAVE A BEER!' and I'm like 'Oh alright, if you insist.'

As a general rule of thumb, I think the best travel happens in not capitol cities.

That's a good point. Although I really loved Rome and Berlin.

Dude, Rome was so sick when I went there. Everyone was suprisingly polite too, I heard people from Rome were assholes.

I know, people said that to me too, and I met nothing but pleasant people who wanted to know if they could get me food, cappuccino, or wine, and whether or not I was enjoying Italy.

No one got me free stuff, but everyone there who spoke english was very talkative and nice.
