Hey guys, any suggestions on what to put on a sign when I get to DH? "Fuck you Roro" is already taken, "Life sucks" is not an option.

Dreamhack adopted shitty GSL style system for goups? (judging from liquipedia results) So sad......I loved Dreamhack for precisaly this reason-that they reject this unfair system. But i suppose all good things come to and end eveventually.

You are so wrong

After considering you argumentation structure, which is full of content and brings multiple reasons, why he is wrong, I still disagree with you.

In fairness, the original post hardly provided any illustrious rhetoric or argument worth considering, either.

Like i said before the issue was discussed deeply before. No reason to repeat it. The GSL group style lovers never had any good arguments:

for GSL style:
1) Fast-no tiebreakers
2) No confusion as to how tiebreakers works-because its apparntly too hard to understand for some
2) No meaningless games

for normal style
1) Fair (GSL style isnt fair which can be mathematicaly proved)

So its a question wheater You are ok with giving unfair advantage to some players in order to have smooth tournament that is easy to understand for people with IQ below 90. For me its not ok.

Less than a year ago, when they still used the old system, Dreamhack had to resolve a tie with a coinflip. It's happened several times in the past as well, AFAIK. That's not particularly fair either. Between that and all the times a player who is already knocked out has to play a meaningless game to determine the fate of players who could still advance, I can see why they switched.

Yes, tiebreakers so fair that they decided to coin toss Lucifron out of the tournament. I remember that.

fairness is such a volatile concept. GSL groups are as simple as you win 2 bo3 you're in, you lose 2 bo3 you're out. Map score doesn't mean shit anyway (you can have a close 2-0 and a stomp 2-1)
