Just wanted to touch on a couple of the issues that occurred tonight (will write a longer blog tomorrow): "lag" on stream. This is, as far as I can tell NOTHING on my side of things, I didn't drop any frames, my FPS in games was solid and stable all evening and my CPU use was never maxing out. I have contacted twitch to try and work it out. Source only for subs: this is something I tested out for some of tonight (until lag issues). Tonight, the stream gained 1 new subscriber. My goal with this show matches that have been kindly sponsored is to make them self sustaining, so that if sponsors can no longer be found, we can still all enjoy great games. Currently, subs / ad revenue / donations (aside from sponsor) does not even come close to matching the cost of these prize pools, on any of them I have done so far. Source was an experiment to see if people would be more inclined to sub if they got something more for it. I will unlikely do it again. Observer issue: As always, I am the observer in game. Doing obs, while casting & panicking and trying to work out why some people were getting lag meant that something started to slip - it is something I need to work on a lot. Getting a dedicated obs means another level of production and also another person who may want pay for doing it. VODs are uploading at the moment, will update when they are done <3 | ||
