Those games blow Scarlett vs Bomber out of the water in every way possible for me. Whereas Scarlett vs bomber was exciting in large part thanks to the mistakes each player made, DRG and Innovation was the opposite. It was amazing because DRG literally played perfectly. I don't think I've ever seen a ZvT played at that level again. It was like DRG had ascended to god status for an hour before coming back to earth.
I agree with that, I found the DRG vs Inno series way better then Bomber vs Scarlett. And although the series between DRG and MMA was kind of meh the final game more then made up for it. Its probably sloppy by today's standards but it was the highest level of play at the time and it had a fantastic story and setting and the best possible finale of all time.

I believe mistakes are a requirement. I want to see mistakes like Na'Vi's mistake vs Alliance. Like Aegis steals. Like bane bombs and shit. It's a lot of the reason I like Bomber. He plays a raw style. INnoVation's robotic perfection at times can be boring to watch. MMA vs Gumiho had 0 mistakes. Still the best game of 2013.
Yeah... except that part where MMA threw the game by abandoning his contain and marching into tank fire. He didn't need to crack Gumi's 3 base mech, he just needed to expand and set up for the lategame. 10Gas Air >>>> 6 Gas Mech

That's what made it so incredible though!
Innovation WAS playing with that robotic unbeatable perfection and DRG fucking BEAT HIM ANYWAY.
It was like Gohan vs Cell. Innovation played perfectly but DRG managed to somehow push to a level beyond perfect that up until that point we didn't know even existed.
The fact it was DRG who people had completely given up on in HoTS until then only made it legendary.
The only thing missing was the stakes. That should've been a final 4 or finals match. It doesn't get the praise it deserves.

I have a friend who actually refuses to eat vegetables because he wants to maximize calorie intake to put on weight. Then he gets sick all the time because of vitamin deficit and can't work out.
