Jaedong is very hit or miss. He's gone 2-8 so far in WCS events in 2014.

2-2 is nerve wracking because a loss means that your opponent is one win away from being one win away from winning.

JD has been a lot more miss than hit in 2014. I still cannot figure out his approach to ZvT.

I wonder if his team atmosphere is starting to affect his performance. It doesn't seem like EG cares too much about SC2 anymore, and JD doesn't have any specialized practice partners (maybe JYP). So I would guess that he primarily ladders for practice, and that could explain why he has done poorly in WCS (where the opponents are known beforehand and players have time to prepare), and weekend tournaments (where he has done better, and opponents aren't known beforehand).

I'm fairly sure it has an effect. It's not unique to EG, but is probably symptomatic of many foreign teams in general. If JD was in a PL team I'm convinced he'd be a lot more consistent, and sharper strategically.

Nah, most Koreans seem to have some kind of support network outside their teams (usually).

Taeja has San and friends.
Team TSL has stuck together.
And besides that Jaedong is in the unique position of being a great Zerg player that no PL/GSL player will almost ever have to play making him a good choice for zerg practice.

I dunno about that. The most PL has taught Flash is to cc first against Shine.

I don't think that build is very good tbh. You can't scan much since you need every mule, and Impact's creep spread meant the last battle was way into creep, no way to split there.

Time for the mouz ace. Impact beat him to seal the victory last time the teams played.

Flash has been doing CC first since 2006, it's like forge FE or die trying. With a lot of dying.

Ling runbys are like a stab in the back. If you try to pull it out, you can get stabbed in the front. If you don't, you don't pull it out, you pass out from the pain.
