Did Maru just have a greedier opener than DRG? I'm still a little confused as to how Terran can attack at that point, be up on upgrades and like 25-30 supply vs one of the best macro zergs that exists...?

Maru really looked like a notch or two above this group.

I wonder if its even worth making mutas vs maru as you will never be able to attack with harass with them, litterally the only use is to pick of medivacs that try to fly into your main base to drop, otherwise they are just too well protected.

not really - i don't know the specifics of it, but even in other sports like soccer or something injuries are still very very common, there are some things which you can't just solve i guess

I think the mutas are there to do what you said, but also to kill retreating units as your ling/blings attack. And to slowly try to reach an awesome flock of 40+ mutas which, while maybe not an automatic gg, are so incredibly powerful that Zerg will have a decisive advantage to win the game

DRG just played bad, there are many good zergs that can beat Maru, unfortunately.

drg lost his overlord in the early game, which is pretty big. then he went for like 8 zerglings imidietly which is not needed at all against 1rax expand. on top of that maru went 3command without gas which is absolutely greedy. then both just played it out normal from there and maru was ahead.
for some reason drgs upgrades were really really late and i dont know why. his creep spread on his 4th was also lackluster considering there was almost no harass what so ever to deny creep spread

I understand that, but it just doesnt seem to work at all vs maru.
