Taught me to deliberate on my Liquibets, I voted before VortiX went on his Korean killing spree.

I have to do them as fast as possible to get rid of that yellow icon. I've seen some netizens don't do their bets. How can they live with yellow icon?

I can't either, good thing the yellow icon doesnt show up for BW liquibets for me, I'd just guess random shit anyway

It does for me. It's just about pictures and names, I don't even check how it goes.

But he did look tired and rather unwell, hopefully he comes to ro8 happy and healthy as can be. So glad he made it through, watched the DRG vs MMA from the Blizzard Cup just the other day. So hype!

MMA takes me to the edge. I never know if he's going to knock it out of the park or fall flat. Then he barely skirts by. I think that's why I always have to watch his games.

Who has 25% vZ? I missed it.

The stats they showed from Vortix said that. They only count WCS games though, so yeah, not very representative.

Mvp is about to finish +3 attack while MMA has just started +2+2.
Mvp does take the fourth as well, but has actually lost more resources than MMA. Mvp uses sensor towers to control the WHOLE area.
Mvp building a fusion core!

No clear attack opportunity for MMA, while Mvp attacks hard down the middle. MMA however goes for the base trade!
Full blown base trade going on. MMA tries to take down Mvp's fourth, but that was WELL defended with a PF and many tanks, and Mvp has killed his whole base.
MMA building several CCs trying to find a good fighting position for the rest of his bio vs Mvp's mech.

Mvp crushes through. THIS IS GAME! Mvp one up on MMA!

Game 2 is on now!
Habitation Station is the map it will take place on. On the top right, and in fiery, agressive red, is MMA! On the left hand side, dressed spotlessly in blue, is Mvp!

And interestingly enough, considering how MANY TvTs we've seen today, thi is the first with a mirrored opener. Rax first into 15 gas for both players. Both push the SCV witht he first marine, and then decide to build a reactor.

4:15
They both take the expansion, on location, and even place the same depots, in le border of the base.
And we have the first divergence! MMA goes second gas and a starport, seems to be looking for a banshee!

MMA actually cancels cloak as Mvp spots it. Mvp however pushes out with marines and hellions and will elevator to MMA's main! Potentially dangerous even though MMA has several hellions.
It is deflected with moderate losses. MMA actually goes for blue flame, while Mvp has no tanks yet. He just finishes two factories now. at 11. And MMA has finished the third in location!

12
Mvp floating the third to the side actually, just like MMA did. Both going for mech in this game, and MMA looks to be forward. Mvp getting blue flame, but his +1 attack is slower than MMA's.
Mvp trying to do damage with hellion drops, but he's shut down but vikings and hellions. MMA's better map control paying in spades, tho Mvp kills the SCV that built the fourth.

16
Mvp going into 2 starports, looking for a transition, but MMA goes into the a big push, kills some of Mvp's army. Mvp's army tried to dislodge MMA's but failed, and THAT'S GG folks.

1-1, we're looking at the final game.
Misread by Mvp this time.

Last game baby!
MMA or Mvp? Who keeps himself in WCS Europe this time? Only one will survive!
We're in Yeonsu!
MMA starts in the top and Mvp in the bottom Mvp opens reapers. MMA defends those with marines and counters with a marine hellion push that kills 12 workers!

Mvp goes back with a hellion runby that deals big damage, but a double banshee play by MMA kills the few workers left before they can build turrets.

MMA comes out on top! Scratches by barely. The king falls and must look to come back in the second WCS EU.

Final interview with MMA:
Redeye says that the mark of a true champion is getting through, also when you're not playing well.
MMA counters that he really wasn't sure he'd make it, and he actually went mech in the second game without planning it. It was "what his hands were doing". The winning move, in his opinion, was the one fight where Mvp moved outside of the 3rd, but before he thought he was behind actually.
Regarding going for it in the third game, he did what his fingers told him as well, he thought he would lose to hellbats, but he still got the banshees anyway, which won him the game.

Regarding whether he pressures himself, he says he does, and he actually trained a lot of TvZ, but he didn't use that against Vortix at all.

Betwenn now and the quarterfinal, he'll really prepare for his opponen and play better than today.

Well gentlemen, that's it for my LR. Thanks for reading and drop me some constructive criticism if you can. First LR ever for me! :D

I think it's better to do one series of quotes for one game. Else it gets a little too messy.

Interview:
Redeye is flipping out! He's dropping praise like mad.
Vortix has improved dramatically in his ZvT, he says, in the last weeks, and he says he can play mindgames.
Mvp, don't try to play mindgames with spaniards! HAHAHA!
The one little thing he's improved? Mechanics are up from last year and he has a better understanding of the game.

The next question is about his patience after getting an advantage with mutas. He says he was patient but felt the need to finish it at the end.
He needs to play his game, and not be scared of playing macro against players who are better than him.

I like the interview 'transcription', nice idea...

MMA 125 Bunny 101
Bunny drops on the natural with 3 tanks and several marines. MMA pushes in with masses of marines and loses many, but cleans it up. MMA 155 to 122 for Bunny.
MMA playing it safe, NO drops, until the moment in which he gets 6 Medivacs with his while army and drops in the main.Excellent position overlooking the third. Bunny CANNOT push in, but he loses the infrastructure, and has to GG!

1-1 on this duel of the agressors! The deciding game coming soon!

And it dawns an Yeonsu as both players look to stay alive in the tournament.
Bunny spawning bot left while MMA is on the top right.
3:20
Bunny going Rax into 15 gas, while MMA goes gas first and has already started his Factory. Bunny goes into a reactor and CC.

4:20
Bunny building his factory while MMA erects his Starport. It borrows a Tech lab from the Factory. He opens with a Raven, though. Bunny expecting a banshee that doesn't come. 38 for Bunny has 38 to 32 supply for MMA.

7
Both at 49 suplly.
Both still in base. Bunny is now able to drop his new CC in the expo already though.
Stream trouble as MMA pushes toward bunny!

10:20
(Damn you stream) Bunny at 86, while MMA at 73.
Bunny has held the push fine and is doing a counterpush himself. Bunny does have the vikings, and he drops them to soak up MMA's tank shots. He loses everything! MMA pushing back and has 4 tanks to 0!
His position by the rocks under the natural is great. Bunny pushes with marines and a tank, but MMA has done enourmous damage and he keeps the position! MMA 93 to the 77 for Bunny.

Bunny, desperate to break the contain, pushes wildly again, but he's unable to make a dent in MMA's well positioneed tank marine medivad force.
GG!

Ladies and gents!
WE GET A TREAT! MMA and Mvp play for the second place in this group!
They both lost crushingly to Vortix. Who will take it?

MMA interview:
He can't even remember a single thing about the first name. He looks clearly upset, thogh calm. He knows he was close to losing since he didn't do the damage he needed in the third game, he answers to Redeye. But the decisive battle won him the game.
Redeye asks him whether his play is weaker. MMA accepts that he's not playing well. He wishes whoever wins between him and Mvp to be cheered.

Redeye asking about the rivalry with Mvp and stopping his streak in GSL, to which he answers that they play amazing games against each other, and he's sad one of them will have to drop out.

Cologne calling to the SC2 nerds! :D There's going to be a great match incoming.
MMA vs Mvp! The duel at the top of the mountain, once again.

These two are talking, are laughing. There's a lot of respect for each other you can see in that map ban.
And the first one is going to be:
Polar Night.

The commentators are saying that MMA and Mvp are the dinosaurs of SCII. Not true. They are sharks.
Thay haven't changed in a long time. And they are still VARY deadly.

Could you start a new post for this series please?

Damn! I just saw this. Sorry! Next time I will!

*start a new post for every game is better. Not only for every series.

But good LR, liked it

Yeah, I cant even use this for the OP, its a great LR and all, but its just too convoluted.
Thank you for the LR though vjcamarena

No problem :D Next time I'll get it right for sure!
