hmm.. you should probably have it calculate the chances for top16 at the end of season 3, as top16 for season 1 doesn't matter at all. There are no seasonal finals anymore.
Still very sad. Another year without good quality french stream for WCS. Too bad.
Hey daily reminder that i'm actually in the middle of the creating process of an esport production company (currently filling the numerous files the french gov requires...). If they all keep derping around i wouldn't mind taking the market ahah.

Even if Dayshi lately has been great and if Targa has never to be underestimated, my brain keeps saying San and Miniraiser. Mini had VODs to study Targa's ZvZ in very recent tournaments, same for Dayshi. Assuming that San sweeps the floor, if Miniraiser has done hiw homework he has very good chances to get it.

Yep, that attack at third got destroyed though, but it allowed drop into the main do the damage it did.

yeah, it's like not building marines as a terran... no idea why he went stormless.
Yea he invested into Archons instead of the much better storms. Archons just don't do that well in small numbers while one good storm is a game changer.

He played without Storm because of the delay, it seems fairly obvious.

it took him a while to get through challenger. I guess it would be surprising if he got knocked out by zergs with his PvZ but it wouldn't be on another level of surprise as people like ForGG and Naniwa failing to advance in my opinion

Why does Apollo keep saying he asked miniraiser these questions? They are all the answers from the TL interview in the 'get to know a wcs player' series. Dayshi wasn't interviewed by TL for that series and that is why Apollo has no answers from him.
I don't get why he would try to pass that off as something he did, this community is tiny, we all read the same article dude.
Edit: interview can be found here and upon rereading it I think I'm wrong, some of the answers came from there but not all of them, Appollo could easily have asked some of the same dumb/silly questions as wax.

WCS EU has already ignored Naniwa and others bitching and chatting in the Challenger league. It's going to be drama when they first decide to implement some of their rules.

Slowly but surely the lings power through and kill most of the sentries but now 2 immortals are out so the roaches are nullified 77 protoss vs 60 zerg, not looking good for Targa immortal sentry train preparing for depature at 10.50 CHOO CHOO

San goes 13 gateway into gas Targa 15 hatch 16 pool. Targa adds an early gas. San goes for the gold base expansion! But it's scouted by the overlord and Targa immediately smacks down the roach warren, skipping lingspeed.
5.50 Targa building 8 roaches to pressure, San adding a robo. Zerg 51 supply vs 39 protoss Gold is walled off with 2 gateways for San. Roaches see it, ignore it and go towards main! Zergling counterattack at the gold walled nexus by Targa. Soultrain has arrived at destination and is unloading it's deadly cargo at the Zerg natural. Main base is breached, however the gold is also killed by Zerglings. Drones are pulled but no avail! GG, San takes the win!
Targa kept slamming his lings against the forcefields, I don't see why he didn't try to pick off a gate or something once San sealed his immortals off, just lasso the lings and click on the gate?

13.50 Targa at 124 supply, San at 86. Targa starts 4th base and enduring locusts, Swarmhosts incoming! San goes for round 2 of immortal gateway push towards zerg third... Another roach counter runby is denied this time! Protoss push arrives at third from the south and has some good forcefielding. Back and forth between roaches and immortals! But sentries deplete and most of the immortals die! Still close though 125 Z vs 115 protoss at 17 mins Extra roach production get Targa back up to 150+ However in the meantime the immortal sentry army has transformed into almost pure stalker without blink trying to kill 3rd base. The roaches don't give a f... and power through them! GG! Targa wins and ties up the series!
LR: SAN vs TARGA GAME 3 (losers match) Heavy Rain LE Current score 1-1
San starts at the top base, Targa at the south base. 13 gateway 15 gas for San, 15 hatch 16 pool for Targa. These guys like their builds and are not quite deviating. Targa scouts a bit for proxies though Cybercore and warpgate reseach added for the protoss, starting expansion afterwards. Targa goes for triple queen and lingspeed, use 2 zerlings to scout.

Targa adds several zerlings to try and gain map control, runs into the forward pylon from San, but it's guarded by 4 zealots already! Also the Msc comes to help. The pylon is behind a geyser and really hard to assault for zerglings. Zerglings try to get into the natural but get crushed by forcefields. We don't say it takes 300/250 to get blink because of the twilight council. Terrans don't say stim is 150/125 because of the tech lab.
If someone goes for a big gateway all in and is left with a bunch of stalkers, and someone says "why doesn't he just get blink for those stalkers?
If he doesn't have a twilight, ofc you would factor in the cost of twilight + the build time. The only time it doesn't cost 250/250 to utilize burrow movement is if you already opened up with a roach/burrow build.

San tries some zealot+warpprism harass but it's not quite effective, however the main protoss army goes towards zerg 4th! 4th is sniped but now Targa has his Swarmhosts and drives them back. BUT THE WARPPRISM sneaked into the main and releases a mass zealot attack! Nearly snipes the Lair but transfuse saves it. However now thermal lance is done and collossi start bring the hurt towards zerg third. Cute counterattack towards protoss third does nothing. 157 for protoss 125 for zerg. Warpprism is still alive, heavy harass, kill Hive army attacks at the third at same time, zealots at the fourth, Targa is torn apart by San here

I guess one factor could be that the groups are not as attractive nowadays. The fan favourites of the old are not what they used to be.

This move clearly scares miniraiser as he makes SIX spines at his natural lol. Finally third base is added at 10.45 as is the Hive and a lot of infestor Protoss is also on a third base quite confortably. DT's sneak into the zerg base and get a few drone kills but are scared off by the fungals. 12.30 ultralisk cavern with 2/2 melee upgrades going.

But protoss has better economy, and now pumping immortals from double robo. Also zealot charge, stargate, weapon upgrade templar archives and an extra forge. Pretty much everything 15 mins San at 149 supply miniraiser at 141... Ultralisks are made as is +3 melee attack. DT drop in the main but a bazillion spines say nope. Double immortal production continues, storm is researched, +3 attack. Also some vipers for the zerg. Warprism still being annoying. Protoss at 4 bases now, miniraiser still at 3 at 17 mins. Finally takes 4th at 18 mins. Now miniraiser is clsoe to maxed, with a big queen+ultralisk/viper army. Protoss also maxed with immortal archon zealot LAG

San going with his warpprism from the robo and adds a forge. 8.30 still no third for miniraiser, going infestation pit which is scouted. Warpprism going into the main!
Finally a battle! Protoss moves up towards the zerg natural but is scared when greeted with kaisar blades and pulls back. Zerg is pretty much on mass ultra+infestor+viper+queens Fleet beacon for protoss, only building he didnt have i guess. San dancing around the ultra army trying to poke in Zealot DT warpins slaughter the 4th, scaring/killing the drones, 4th stays barely alive. Suicide scouting templar feedbacks a queen!!!! action! Defensive ultralisks is added to the zerg 4th CARRIERS HAVE ARRIVED triple carrier production from San also with the faster launch upgrade (how the hell is that called)

Supported by some ultras. More carriers being built! Air weapon upgrades researched. 7 carriers total already combined with mass immortal and archons. BATTLE! LR San vs Miniraiser PvZ game 3 on Heavy Rain LE (2nd place decider)
Current score 1-1
San spawns at the top, Miniraiser at the bottom. San keeps his trusted 13 gate 15 gas build. Miniraiser takes a hatch first into 3 hatch before pool San adds cybercore, Mini adds an early gas and pool after. San starts warpgate and an expansion

Well, don´t want to be offensive but this is easily the "worst" group in terms of players. At least in my opinion...
It's got the reigning ASUS ROG winner and two of the hottest new European talents, including one who has a legitimate claim to the title of best foreigner Terran. I'd say the players as a whole are solidly better than those in groups C, E, and F. Maybe G as well.

Just tuned in so haven't seen the games, but before watching I'd say San is the second favourite (after jjakji) to take this WCS EU, he's really a top level player.

C, E and F have bigger names though, many of whom are well-known for their exciting gameplay. There's been some great moments out of the games I've seen, but not as exciting as Group C was.

But playing from Korea makes him look much worse today. If he breaches the Great Wall of Lag then he will be one of the favourites from the Ro16 onwards.

9.30 67 protoss vs 75 zerg +1 weapons researched for San, adding immortals. He takes a third with a hallucinated immortal :D However 18 roaches and 40 zerglings are on the field for Miniraiser, moving out towards 3rd base. Protoss army is small, 2 immortals and a few sentries. Zerglings snipe an immortal but forcefields catch a LOT of roaches which are crushed trying to crawl away. Now 111 protoss vs 112 zerg. But muta's are coming, zerg up 130 with 10 mutas. Spire is scouted! Double stargate reaction

Storm is always good.
Yeah, but trying to storm mutas is probably very hard with that kind of lag.

More mutas on the way. Phoenix production starts. 183 zerg vs 126 protoss however. 20 mutas vs 4 phoenix Zerg goes up to 5 bases, protoss still on 3. Zerg is maxed and attacks the 3rd, but photon overcharge kills a lot. Ground army is evaporated by immortal stalker, mutas have to retreat. Miniraiser addding a lot of zerglings. Zealot harass by San. A few corruptors are added but phoenix range is now done and a healthy phoenix count. Ling runby at third is stopped by simcity. Still 5 base zerg vs 3 base protoss. Zerg is mass air + lings, but nothing to kill the stalkers! Another lost battle for Zerg, Miniraiser seems to have no answer to the phoenix+stalker. 180vs180 at 20 minutes. They try a basetrade but both fail, too much static defense, however stalkers kill 2 bases still. LOL now the phoenix kill the mutas Nothing left for Miniraiser except some corruptors.

I don´t think so, Dayshi might be good but he´s "overrated". Like Goswer was at that time when he beat Life 3:2. Happy is probably still #1 Terran in EU. And whos the the other talent? Miniraser? Except for San none of the players in this group are comparable to Hasu, MMA, Snute, Stardust, Happy ... But like I said, just my opinion.

170 vs 135 supply in favor of San. Stalker+phoenix just kill everything and it's over. GGWP and San qualifies for RO16! Europe doesn't hold

I bet not everyone is so nationalistic that they only root for players from their own country or people who look more like them.
So you are fine if casters are for Suppy? lol What annoys you is that they root for white people? ^^
No here's the thing. I don't care if casters are biased. I was disputing your random ass claim that Korean casters are biased for Koreans which you seem to use as justification for foreign casters being biased towards foreigners. I was just saying that there is no reason to assume that is true. There were a few logical fallacies there.

I think you may be misinterpreting what he is saying. I think he's saying people shouldn't do that.
I know what he is saying and all I am saying is that their nationalities have nothing to do with it.
That is almost certainly not what you are saying because you said Korean casters are biased for Koreans. So in that instance does nationality not matter?

Not fluently no but I know that Korea (together with Japan and China) is one of the most xenophobic countries in the world

Still making an assumption based on the views of the country as a conglomerate to say, "Korean casters most definitely root only for their players" is pretty bad. For example Stephano and Idra were both popular figures that had fans in Korea.

That is almost certainly not what you are saying because you said Korean casters are biased for Koreans. So in that instance does nationality not matter?
I am saying Apollo and Khaelaris don't root based on nationality And Korean caster most definitely root only for their players
Let me ask you do you speak Korean?
Not fluently no but I know that Korea (together with Japan and China) is one of the most xenophobic countries in the world
Still making an assumption based on the views of the country as a conglomerate to say, "Korean casters most definitely root only for their players" is pretty bad. For example Stephano and Idra were both popular figures that had fans in Korea.
I always got the impression that Koreans often rooted for foreigners because they knew about the underdog factor just as well as anyone else did

C, E and F have bigger names though, many of whom are well-known for their exciting gameplay. There's been some great moments out of the games I've seen, but not as exciting as Group C was.
Man I was reaaally pulling for Miniraser, but he is on an upward swing and I think he'll be back strong next season. Still happy for San and Dayshi though, and Dayshi played particularly well today so congrats to him

Even the EX-KESPA GODS OF STARCRAFT 1, 2 AND 3?
Only Jaedong had enough time as a Kespa player. The rest was never in Kespa or was in Kespa C-team.
..and forGG, that made it 2. But still, too many Koreans are competing in WCS AM and EU.
I think EU is pretty good atm. Placing in the top4 for foreigners is pretty hard, but it is also very rewarding in terms of attention, so it balances out I guess. And after duckdeok retired, Daisy and Tails droped out and Shuttle did both, there are far less koreans in there than in season 3 from last year. And every korean has stayed in EU for a time, so I really see no problem there.
This is why we want EU, NA and KR. Not EU/KR, NA/KR and KR 1 Korean in every group. Shouldn't be allowed to play in WCS EU/NA, if you are playing from Korea. It's just bad mannered.

I don't mind the lack of region lock, it only means that I get to see Koreans play in a timeslot that's more accessible for me. Higher competition also brings out better quality games.
