Seems risky since it is a two player map and it is not as huge as Frost for example. I don't recall seeing cc 1st on Polar in pro TvZ.. It is almost always reaper expand. Early pools are nearly extinct in TvZ, precisely because Reaper expands are common. As far as I know only Life still includes them, but even the it's like 1 in 50 games or something ridiculously low. Jaedong uses them too sometimes. Remember Soulkey's glorious 6 pool vs SuperNova on Newkirk Precinct? (;

What if innovation mixed in mines? I noticed that Solar was flying his mutas around with an overseer escort. SH/Muta seems incredibly gas heavy and getting overseers would hurt on that account. In big pushes, the vikings would threaten the overseers a lot - with mines threatening the mutas. Mines are indeed good vs mutas, but when you push against Swarm hosts they're quite impractical since Locusts trigger them if you don't constantly babysit them.
Sorry, I meant to say mutas were backstabbing without an overseer. Keeping mines behind tanks would do the job with minimal babysitting - I think.

Neige has a 17.5% winrate over 40 games according to Aligulac (not including his loss to ParanOid). So.... :s doesnt matter as long as his flag on esl is korean!

God damn Right. Only Top Zergs realize that you have to take that 5% chance of victory to make your regular games all the stronger.
