Well he's been playing this on stream as well and he does a great job going into any sort of macro game with templar in a prism against ghosts. This army is surprisingly strong even once ghosts are out.

You need to switch into colo but if the terran engages with only like 4/6 ghosts or less and you outmicro the shit out of him, you can still win ezpz.
At the same time, if the terran outmicros you he can kill you even with no ghosts.

MVP basically knew the exact storm timing after the failed oracle so he went around and took out all pylons so he wouldn't get flanked or counterattacked then ya marched right into the natural and killed him before the storms that would have done absolutely nothing since ghosts were out.

But on a serious note it was a nice variation to skimp on the upgrades to allow for a few ghost because usually storm just stomps that timming to the ground.
No, the game wasnt particularly outstanding. But a washed up king of wings who inexplicably wins everything forever coming out for his first true test in quite a damn long time amoving to victory against protoss (reddit will tell you it is supposed to be the other way around) was pretty awesome.

Ppl love to simplify a game like this but the fact is that Mvp read that game perfectly, knew exactly when to expect storm to be ready and had such a clear game plan that he executed with out a single flaw. And his macro was as good as it gets.
Though I have to question Emotions decision to go with colossus first since this is a style that Mvp has show that he knows how to deal with. Would have been interesting to see how Mvp deals with chargelot HT/archons.

2 base vs 2 base after a well defended oracle opening. Mvp went for a late SCV pull with 3 ghosts, hit just before storm was done and got EMP on the templars as it finished.

Byul's multi-task to defend against so many run-bys and run by attempts from RorO while simultaneously denying all 4ths from RorO was quite a sight to behold. Yeah it ended really sloppy but the small advantages Byul had built up really payed off in the end.

If an ex ESF team other than IM gets into a playoff this season. i think it will be incredible.
Also, i would like to point out that players that were good at the later parts of wings seems to be getting better now. This reminds me of an episode of SOTG where , i think, geoff mentioned something similar; about BoxeR being good at the start of BW then dropping off when it was more figured out, which wes similar to his Wings career.

I think this match might eventually help IM to get the playoff seat.
IMO, Jin Air is a lock for playoff, so there is only one seat left. IM is competing with Samsung, and samsung is a weaker team after all, they will probably fade.

Yeah, a lot could still happen for those last two playoff spots. Even coming down to a few map wins. MVP could still have a reasonable shot at making it if they stomp Samsung and CJ as well.
For IM fans the most likely hope is that Samsung bombs against MVP (50/50 match) and SKT (fairly likely). The worst Samsung does the less well IM has to do against Jin Air (who's likely going to beat Prime and secure their spot).
Best IM can hope for to end the round with on their own is: 4-3 with +2 in map score (iffy).
