Now this is the story all about how My life got flipped, turned upside down And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Jin-air
In west Gang-nam born and raised On the playground where I spent most of my days Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool And all shooting some b-lings outside of the school When a couple of guys, they were up to no good (Startale!) Started making trouble in my neighbourhood I got in one little rush and my mom got scared And said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Jin-air"
I whistled for a cab and when it came near the License plate said "fresh" and had a dice in the mirror If anything I could say that this cab was rare But I thought nah, forget it, yo homes to Jin-air!
I pulled up to a house about seven or eight And I yelled to the cabby "Yo, homes smell you later!" Looked at my kingdom I was finally there To sit on my throne as the prince of Jin-air
Nice job Maru that was impressive! I reckon Parting thought he was going to stick to the mass marine marauder style and got caught out when ghosts appeared and he wasn't producing colossus :D Parting always looks super dangerous but Maru so slick !

well supplies normally dont say much in a pvt. one engagement can decide the game either way

i thought for a moment he was in trouble when his 4 medivac drop got repelled and 2 medivacs were feedbacked and he hadn't yet build ghosts. but then ghosts came and yeah from there on it was a roll over

yes i agree, thought something special would happen but that looked like a normal ladder 2v2 and these are pretty boring most of the time
I only play diamond level when i 2v2 with my friend, but our games where way more fun than that lol. That was like bronze/silver 2v2s where it just a straight up zergs mass lings, and other races do proxy/rush builds.
I personally think it is down to the map, so silly. Put them on 2v2 ladder maps lol some of them are quite good at the moment too.
Wolf looks and sounds absolutely dreadful today, but he can't skip his first pro-league match of course. the LoL caster is pretty good; he has a pleasant voice to listen to!

I made the mistake of looking at twitch chat on HerO's stream. Someone asked "can someone explain what the zerg did wrong?" so I explained it and 15 people went at me for bringing filthy knowledge to twitch chat. I guess that was the reminder I needed. At least I also realized that this was going on.

I like Brendan's casting a lot. He doesn't step out of his play to play commentary too much and when he does it's for simple small scale analysis which he's not too bad at. His voice is also soothing.

He just needs a bit more "oomph" maybe - or paired with someone else - they are both quite similar with their voices/tones.

Yeah, he's telling it how it is, which is somehow refreshing... "lost 8 zealots, in only see two to three dead roaches, so not a very good trade"
sOs still has a chance if he kills this army. His mineral bank is gigantic (which means he can expand) while Soulkey's economy is really bad and the 4th for Soulkey could be sniped easily

supply block because pylons killed, no point making warpgates if no supply i guess, and no gas to make units so that's why minerals are banked

But I mean there was probably a minute of him not even starting more pylons even though he had 3k minerals and nothing else he could do with it.

As much as the last 4minutes of that match was good, i find the overall 90% of that to have been a /turtle to max and then fight which is justs not right "/ Especially for how long they were waiting ;_;
Oh well nice timing, now for Champions League draw! :d
I guess SK lost so much that he did one death push and didn't have any chance to get a fifth during the attack ,or to replenish Drones. Some incredibly cost efficient engagements got sOs back in the game and removed part of the toughest groups in the Zerg army.

Yeah there were a few roach run bys that should've done more damage with a little targetting. But most of his production was in his main, and Soulkey couldn't get up there with his main army because of all the aoe and the big choke. Really good positioning from sOs.

But he wasnt on a better team and he got the most wins. Thats like saying a player in the NBA who averages 30 points is only getting 30 points because his team sucks but still, its hard as fuck to score 30 points regardless, just like its hard as fuck to win as many games as Flash did last season.

You must've missed the great viper control, the blink stalkers in the main and zealots everywhere, the part where sOs was hard contained and had no mining base but had a good enough army to at least buy time to use his bank, allowing him to push out on the map again because he'd killed so much of Soulkey's economy that his army was eventually strong enough to retake bases. It was a pretty cool game imo.

Flash would be played all the time, regardless of team. + Show Spoiler +

Some teams, maybe. Other teams he'd just be another solid Terran capable of picking up wins. Don't even know what kind of form he's in right now, really. :/
there aren't very many solid terrans in PL right now at all, come to think of it.
I mean. Fantasy is probably one of the better ones in SPL (and in general). Dream and Yoda are solid for sure, Bunny from CJ will have to step it up, Cure and TY are both very solid. And obviously Flash and Maru.

Holy shit I think this is going to be a draw guys. Hero can't move out and split his stuff up and Byul can't end it if he just defends. Unless one of them throws hard its a draw.
Why on earth would Byul not at least have one more back up extractor and why on earth make the new extractor so close? He should have made another one across the map not a base away. Byul threw that hard.

Nah, that wasn't a throw so much as just caving in to the pressure. Good move by herO to test his nerve.

That's hilarious, Zergs were saying the same thing after the Soulkey sOs game.
We were saying that SK played poorly, that's a bit different from bitching about a unit being unfair or OP.
well there were comments like storm good unit and stuff
X good unit is a pretty standard comment. Someone thinks storm is not good? Mutas are a good unit too. It's just irritating when protoss fans/players berate zergs for whining about protoss all-ins and deathball, only to bawl their eyes out when a zerg makes mutas because it, you know, works.
On December 16 2013 20:42 Zheryn wrote: Mutas just ruin PvZ. It would have been so retarded if herO wouldn't have got that win.
Only 'retarded' of herO to not get that win.
Was quite obvious that he should have split his army and go kill buildings.
It's still retarded that the only way to play against mutas is to base trade, unless you have a lot of phoenix.
or storms, or archons
Storms aren't very effective vs mutas, they can move out of them before they take too many ticks of damage and then they can also regen any damage very quick. Archons are good but very immobile, and drop in effectiveness if the mutas magic box. Phoenix are the best answer but it takes only 1 fungal to screw you over for the rest of the game.
I think they could not have chosen a more terrible map than this one. Proper 2v2 needs shared or really near ally bases... this is just a stupid rush/cheese map... 2v2 can be really fun.

Non-shared just does not work in Sc2. It just turns into 2 players killing one, then a slow death animation for his partner.

Haha. He's not MY prodigy though. He got to where he is now through hard work, determination, and perseverance. I just gave him lots of encouragement and support
Interesting lineups. Coach Park sends his best players, while Coach Han instead chooses to rotate players to give them exposure. I would interpret this as a must-win game for Coach Park, as it would be a psychological blow if a team that is "trying to win" loses to a team that is taking it in a leisurely manner.

After none of the engagements was Pigbaby really behind. He always did just enough damage to not kill Hydra but to continue with his pushes. Also, bad decision by Hydra - if he would build 12 mutas instead of corruptors/roaches in the end, he would have won.

Because people don't like, when games end like this. Me included.
As a Zerg, the only complain I have is that looking at the game from the omniscient observer view was really painful as Hydra was kinda always being overaggressive or undecisive. No complains Protoss-wise tho, but I gave it a two stars because my inside hurts of watching hydra not making drones but not attacking either, and then making his move right as the colossi pop out.

disagree, I think what's happening now is way worse, mostly due to people raging about Protoss off and on during the entire life of the game.
I've actually done that for real and it works. I was getting mugged and I acted like I'm crazy and don't understand that the guy wants to mug me and the guy got discouraged enough for me to have time to reach the safe street. Then he ran away.

Funnel minerals to terran, funnel gas to zerg. Make bio/mass muta. Laugh.
Roaches/Hydras + Medivacs with bio behind is quite a terrific thing too.
Roach/Hydra too mineral intensive. The whole point is to make units that are heavy in whatever resource your ally will have a surplus of. Muta and Bio have amazing synergy in this regard. You can get a huge, extremely mobile army in a very short time. Most theorycrafted optimal combos in 2v2 have little practical application, they require too much time and setup.

So how about Oracles keep both of their speed buffs but their beam gets a nerf so they just don't kill stuff quite as quickly? Early Oracles having such a huge effect is getting pretty old. Cure/Speed certainly made the worst out of it though!

Cool. List one. He gave the better part of his youth to grinding in a cramped teamhouse 12 hours a day, because that's where the money and the glory was.
Korea has nothing to offer him anymore other than good practice. Spend the whole season playing 6452 PvZs in Korea, or travel the globe and attend dozens of tournaments, make tons of money and experience the world? Korea did not make JD a legend, JD did that.

Your question doesn't make sense. Him not playing in proleague is definitely not because there are no reasons for him to play, it just because there are 1 or more reasons for him to play outside.
Hence, the thousands plus 1 reason(money) to play outside. Simple math works in favor of foreign tournaments at this moment of his young life.
Young kids on TL likes to take anything to an absolute state, so quote myself again "zero reason my ass". You can say there are thousand more reasons for him to play outside, it's fine, but don't say zero reason for him to play in Korea.

LoL guy was talking about deathballs dominating, Wolf questioned whether zerg could really beat protoss right now, sort of.
Soulkey will show them the way
I would have said JD, but he's not playing in Proleague T_T
JD has zero reason to give a fuck about proleague, it would do nothing for him. He just needs decent practice partners, and I'm sure most teams would be happy to have his as such.
Zero my ass. JD has thousands of reason to give a fuck about the place he grew to be a legend.
Cool.
BW legend sure. Sc2 legend? At the moment I'd take the like of, say M18M, over JD anyday because he won quite a few foreign tourneys.

Well duh BW legend? Or just Esports legend in general. Name one other player that has been relevant at the absolute top level of competition for this length of time.
JD is legitimately a top 3 zerg in the world and arguably a top 5 player. M18M never came even close to that. JD is playing way, way better opponents today, M18M would have gotten butchered if he had been at blizzcon or WCS season finals in 2013. It's not about what you win it's about who you win against.
And if we are going to be pedantic, JD has a lot of very good reasons not to play PL, and very few good reasons to do it.

my point is he has lots to prove in starcraft two, and you talk as if JD has ascend to the top of the world after winning one random weekend foreign tourney. Achievement man. In that department, even the like of M18M (I know he sucks) is more accomplished than JD.
anyway seeing your team icon I figure it might be pointless to argue
Pigbaby vs Hydra Finals G1 shows whats wrong with the design. Watch it.
WTF? the ending battle was a disgrace, hudra snipes colossus as fast as he can and still immortals and ffs overpowers him. It just shows what a fucking joke protoss deathballs is.
Sry if this is out of context but that game made me REALLY mad :D

No, he ascended to the top after beating top 5 opponents in series over and over. That's how it works. If you think Stardust's wins are more impressive than JD's record, you are insane.
As for your inane point about me being a Hwaseung fan, I could say the same, you are a toss, so of course you'll be cheering for someone who can only win by cheesing and all-ins. Terrible argument.

Which is why I said it was a terrible argument. He assumed since I was an Hwaseung fan I would be irrational and biased, knowing nothing about me or my opinions on JD as a player in the past. That kind of presumptuous douchery irritates me.
