Yeah but jaedong can't win it. EG are paying JD to lose finals for story lines /conspiracy.

No, he meant Jaedong.

He is wrong then, only elfi can save this tournament.

Actually, you can ddos the casters or the players, and then the stream is fine but the game lags. Elfi got ddossed in a Finnish LAN 2 months ago. He changed computers twice but sc2 was unplayable.

As far as I know NorthCon has never hosted a big tournament before. Maybe they just don't know how to handle it?

Yeah, probably...

That doesn't change the fact though that DDOS'ing is huge nowadays and tournaments should really be prepared for it. It's unfortunate for the organizers and especially the players, but really, one should be able to expect a premier tournament to be prepared against attacks as they will happen in today's internet society.

EDIT: I want to highlight that I feel so sorry for the players. We, as spectators, get this entertainment for free and it's something that we do not pay for. We really can't ask too much from it, however, the players must be feeling awful having to pause and getting lags and so on, delays, playing late, whatnot. I feel really sorry for the players. NorthCon should raise the prizepool or something as compensation T_T

Why would people try to DDOS such an event, is there any financial benefits that the authors could expect, like blackmailing?

One minute to midnight with scarlett in the same group as luci elfi and jjakji, AND JD Life INno in the waits, this does not bode well

I can see Scarlett getting first in her group, she can beat all three of those players pretty easy in my opinion (Bomber > jjakji), and if she does get first, she would have to face probably Stardust (who I think she can beat, even though her ZvP is not great), and then face a tough opponent. I don't really see her not getting top 4 here, given these circumstances and no edits done to bracket layout.

Predictions correct
I used to play random, but for you I play very specifically.
