Stephano is a seeded player ? WTF is he back or something?

You've got to be kidding announcing that two days before the actual event? Especially because theres ASUS ROG on that day as well.
|
I love how they took the post from IEM Singapore qualies but forgot to edit out "Singapore" out of the post

What are you so worked up about? At least the Polish community only loses one player going into the qualification (Nerchio). The German community is fucked even more, because both Socke and Hasuobs will not be able to enter the qualifiers... same with Spain (Vortix, Lucifron)... D:

quite a bad bad timing with asus northcon the same week end :/ it's not like you don't have time all the following weekend, IEM Sao Paulo is end of January 2014 I think? (and not end of November 2013 as said in OP)
|
The announcement being so late is my fault. The actual qualifiers have been open for signups for about 2 weeks now Coming from Blizzcon straight into Cologne and then Singapore left us without much time to announce things without them being lost. It's not often we have 3 events with news in the space of 3 weeks.

Hopefully something can be done about that.

Why is Stephano here? He should be in the NA qualifiers.

Plus ESL already holds the EPS Germany finals on that weekend.
They should just hold the qualifier during the week, when there is little chance of colliding with a big event.

The event is "Quando? De 27 de janeiro a 2 de fevereiro de 2014."

Still a 35 minute game against a korean Terran lol Swarm hosts do wonders to extend your longevity. Roach/hydra/swarmhost/viper is such a slow composition, you have nothing against the medivacs and if you get caught off guard off creep you insta lose. You need your amy to fight together and your units costs a lot more than the Terran bio.
Most Zergs would have gg when Jajkji got the first snipe on the 4th while droping the main and the 3rd.

It is really sad to see players not showing up like this and it must feel shitty for others that were fighting hard yesterday to get one of the 4 spots but didn't make it. I would suggest for the future that you invite 4 players and let 12 people qualify instead of the current order of 4 qualifiers and 12 invitees. Or better yet, no free t-shirts anymore, let 16 players qualify for the final from a very interesting 1st qualification round and maybe those that have invested in the first qualification round will also turn up for the second and final qualification round.
EDIT: also, if possible, if some of the players that were close to qualify but didn't make it could be on-call for the second qualification it would be very good. Today at least 3 people didn't show up on time. 10 minutes after starting time these slots should be given to 3 reserves so that matches can start ASAP.
|
Do we know if IEM Sao Paolo will distribute WCS points? Going by the Blizzard list it should be a Tier 2 event.

Well, if you don't want to play at least you let the organizers know about it on time. Just not showing up is extraordinary lame, especially if you are supposed to be a professional. It's totally disrespectful to both organizers and fans, so there better be a good excuse for this not showing up. I say this as a (quite frankly disappointed) Naniwa fan.
