Canada still actually has stronger players than most countries outside of Korea.

Like...let's see...Germany has a stronger lineup, China probably has a stronger lineup but it's hard to tell when they play online tournaments with horrendous lag, Australia could...probably give Canada a fight, but I'd give the edge to Canada I think. Similarly for Russia--would be close, but I think I'd give Canada a slight edge in this format. Sweeden of course is very good. And...hm, actually Ukraine also has a pretty scary lineup; not sure which country is better there.

Point is, Canada is arguably in the top 5 countries in terms of teams we can field. Which isn't bad given that Canada has a smaller population than many of these countries. (Smaller population than South Korea too, for what it's worth). Obviously the lineup is going to look a little worse without Scarlett, though.

I think both Canada and USA are as strong as any of the EU countries (Canada being the stronger with scarlett, huk ). Sweden and Ukraine are not what they were a couple of years ago. White Ra is well off the pace these days, and DIMAGA isn't as successful either. Strelok and Kas are solid. Fraer was inactive i thought, although I saw him appear on a stream the other day.

Sweden basically has Naniwa these days, everyone else either fell off or retired.

Without scarlett, the series will be much closer. I don't see a clear favourite to win this, tbh.

Are you using the GSTL version of Fruitland? Where you can harvest the Lemons for extra minerals?

Mmm...well here's what I get if I average the Aligulac rating of the top 5 players in each country.

1 South Korea 2005.6
2 Germany 1555.2
3 Sweeden 1524.4
4 Canada 1499.2
5 Russia 1490.6
6 China 1490.2
7 Ukraine 1482
8 Poland 1447.4
9 Australia 1424.4
10 USA 1372
11 Finland 1361.4
12 Denmark 1360.8
13 France 1355.2 (not couning Stephano due to retirement)
14 Netherlands 1318.2

(All other countries have an average below 1300 for their top 5 players on Aligulac).

Well Canadia is missing both Scarlett and Maximusblack, so they are going without their two top players.

Maximusblack. Top player. Sure. maybe if the game is cheesing better opponents, and even then hes outclassed by hitman.

But he has lots of viewers on his stream, and I see him winning all the time and he is so funny, how is not a top player?

Anyway, any news on whether Hitman is still in this thing after being a giant dick to Bomber for no apparent reason?

why wouldn't he? and what does bomber have to do with this? also what exactly did he do to bomber just out of curiousity.

He was BMing Bomber and harassing him in between games, being really fucking rude and obnoxious for no reason. I don't think a person like that should be allowed to participate in something like this, which is done mostly for fun and to promote local NA starcraft. There should be consequences for acting like a douche.

He wasn't BM'ing Bomber personally, after the stream started whining about 'cheesy protoss' and 'imba race' hitman decided to join the chat and troll them for a while.

Lol. No, he even told Bomber to get out of NA server as only good players are allowed there. Certainly wasn't aimed at the stream chat. Bomber put him on ignore and reported him shortly after :p
