I get what you try to imply, and I am saying that deriving a conclusion by looking at one particular player in one particular tournament is really silly.

The NorthCon ASUS ROG StarCraft II Tournament started today on December 6th 2013. The tournament has faced many problems right from the start which have been apparent to every party involved including the players and the audience. Some of the problems have been out of the hands of the organizers, such as the bad weather in Germany affecting the travel schedules of the players and the staff, but no doubt a portion of the problems can be attributed to the lack of experience in running a high caliber offline tournament. We at Peliliiga, which is the organizer behind the ASUS ROG StarCraft II tournaments held in the past, have been following the event closely. After the troublesome first day at NorthCon, we saw it necessary to inform the esports community that the ASUS ROG Tournament at NorthCon 2013 is independent from Peliliiga and the events organized by Peliliiga. Peliliiga wishes NorthCon the best of luck for tomorrow. Apparently at least the stream issues are being taken care of. Let us hope the second day at the NorthCon ASUS ROG Tournament redeems the first by offering an entertaining tournament at the quality the community has been accustomed to. Still happy for elfi though and nice to see 3 foreigners still alive, although I don't think it will be more than 1 after the round of 8. Hopefully Scarlett can make it at least.

Other than that I agree I think San wins after watching Innovation kind of struggle with Welmu in game 3, and lose to duckdeok pretty easily. San will certainly have good build orders planned and I think he can easily prepare for Innovation. On December 07 2013 10:38 Assirra wrote: Terran doesn't win every game they play? something is wrong with the game here! You guys really don't get it. The issue isn't that Terran loses. If we look at the top 10 earning foreigner Terrans, almost none of them are active in tournaments anymore, let alone being able to take a game off of a top FOREIGNER. LucifroN can't even beat foreigners anymore. He used to be able to sort of compete with Koreans. Now he's not even in the running to be a top foreigner, and he's (arguably) the best foreigner Terran right now. There's no bias in the statement that foreigner Terrans don't beat Koreans, but foreigner Zergs/Protoss players (not only Scarlett/NaNiwa) beat Koreans.

Whatever the state of the game certain players will show more consistency than others and you can hardly say that jakji has been playing as well this year as other top terrans like taeja. Im sure jakji himself would agree he hasn't been in his best form.
