(not hating, he's still awesome, but not the best) sOs is one of the worlds best players though. Granted that list changes every day with only 2 players that always have a right for this one there: TaeJa and (fanboy mode) Soulkey in GSL. I think some ppl have unrealistic expectations of sOs. Obviously, he's one of the best in the world. But considering his playstyle, it's very unlikely that he'll ever have consistent dominance over the scene. It is very unlikely that any protoss will ever have consistent dominance over the scene. Sometimes we get a Protoss who dominates a specific match-up for a while. Parting had awesome PvT way back in WoL and later had his soul train and was fairly dominant over zerg. Unfortunately he couldn't do both at the same time Well, we had Dear, but his reign was rather short. Hurricane!

Dear only lost one tournament until now. Still the best player of the world.

But to be honest, I don't know if Dear's reign is over. He lost fairly early at Blizzcon but that was to JD who made it to the final. Dear just hasn't had many games recently. He did beat Patience twice in the GSTL though (and Patience beating sOs helps explain why Patience was picked as the ace in that match.)

But then again, he lost to Hydra in a qualifier (okay, it is a qualifier, there is no shame in losing in it, as all koreans lose to all other koreans).

Polt fighting! Hell yeah! <3

It's funny, sOs was widely considered the best Protoss throughout this year, but after winning WCS everyone is shitting on him haha.
