It is super useful against DTs and observers, cloak ghosts become stronger even without a million orbitals at home for constant scanning, for PDD against stalkers in a big fight. Hell, for seeker missile if there are no stalkers. And honestly if there are ghosts out then the Raven should never be feedbacked with proper control. It's just a smart addition

It's good for the detection though. That being said, he had a tech lab on the 2nd port, so his viking army was 25% smaller than it could've been.

It's good because protoss will not be able to follow you around with observers and he will also have a tough time dealing with cloack ghost. You just need to be able to keep it outside of feedback range and throw PDDs before templars reach the raven.

infestors have been equally useless particularly in WoL for the same reason, always getting a-moved into marines

When he built 1st one there was no templar with the army and 5 colossi. I think PDD is kind of bad against Colossi+templar, feedback 1 shots it.

Well to be fair, it's also parting hts that are quite annoying for ravens, especially on a larger and more open map.

yeah, 2011 before Dimaga/Stephano pioneered Infestorcontrol Zergs were really bad with them. Especially the Korean ones. We can only hope that foreigners can Mech it Happen (when the balancing is right). Since Koreans probably won't try until they get rocked by it.
