Is there a broadcast schedule for this?

Damn, this Thanksgiving weekend is stacked. Dreamhack Winter, WCG, and IEM Singapore all at once.
|
Nestea woo -. -
*sigh*
Well at least Squirtle is here to maybe win it.

Nestea is not getting out of that bracket unfortunatly.
Bracket 2 feels so underwhelming compared to bracket 1, but Dream vs. Effort should be a great game

any idea why huk isnt there even though he qualified?
|
HuK forfeited his spot. I don't know why.
|
thank you for the information, well looking forward to scarlett then will be a very tough group and let's see if happy can keep performing like he did during hsc! rooting for these two and DRG ^_^

DemiLove can't make it, and is being replaced by Singapore's own FlashRevenant, Warcraft III legend.

Avenge and Dream gogo! Also Lichter passion overwhelming doing DH and IEM
|
|
Even if he had, why would anyone pick WCG over IEM?
Something foul is afoot, further investigation is needed. Rumours abound that Huk was found killed, beaten to death with a tire iron, witnesses are said to have reported an argument with an unknown assailant that involved a refusal to apologize.

IdrA and Maynarde? Fuck the hell yes.

IEM and DH on the same weekend, SC2 overload.
This tournament is pretty loaded compared to last year's IEM Singapore. Very nice.
|
Mvp vs Nestea finals imo.
a man can Dream. especially of MVP. i digress.
i feel like the dual tournament brackets are not very fair. 2 is much harder than 1. also is it just me or do Scarlett and Bomber meet at every tournament nowadays (they are in the same gropup here) and always have close and good matches. i smell a rivalry.

I'm at the event live and all you see is nestea and Blysk in a booth, with the casters casting behind the scenes, the crowd you see is watching league of legends right next to the player booths on the main stage, and there are NO TV'S for the audience which you can watch the event being casted, unless you go to the player area and take a peek at their TV. I'm watching the event on my phone in a restaurant outside the venue, this is kinda dumb.

Great, dominating play by Nestea. I wouldn't doubt it if he won a WCS next year. I really do think he is back to his dominant 2 GSLs in a row form like back in the 2011 days.

We're working on it! Unfortunately the stage needs to share LoL and SC2. After the two LoL games it's all SC2 from there.
The monitors next to the SC2 booths should show SC2. There is a technical problem there, we are working on it. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

What are the chances the reason Blysk didn't scout that hatchery is because he's expecting some kind of shenanigans from ol' Nestea?

He was still doing okay even earlier this year, took third in Iron Squid 2 which was a stacked tournament. He beat Parting in that one. In the past 6-8 months he's looked foreigner level though.

That is double elimination for you... We won't have that problem for the rest of the tournament.
To elaborate on that - sometimes we have to wait for a series which had started already and we can't jump into the match and we can't stream the next match (since we're waiting for the winner).

That does not take long. We use SSD swaps - the settings are stored on the disk and move with the player.

Okay, I've been seeing this two sneak warp in rounds of zealots to kill third thing a bunch over the past several months, and I always hear players/casters be like "the way to stop it is by scouting the proxy pylon" it would take like, maybe four banelings to kill that many zealots, why on earth doesn't anybody just auto make banelings nest?

So basically he's the HerO of terran? I guess that explains why I like him so much. Although he does show flashes of brilliant TvT too.

It doesn't load at all. I just have a blank space so not even the link shows. The only way I can find what was being linked, is if I quote it and manually take out the URL

I just spent about 15 min looking at a grey screen on twitch before it stuttered to life.
:D

Omg just noticed pig casting!!! fuckin rad
|
Pig and maynarde are casting? Haven't heard them cast before.
|

this really really reminds me of that game between scarlett and bomber at the quarterfinals of the season 2 finals, just, such sick containment and unit movement by dream
come to think of it it was the same map lol. Also I'm really surprised by dream, curious is a fucking monster at zvt, he has like a seventy percent winrate or something
|
LOL dream was so happy those drones came at him. Loved the little trick by using the reapers to taunt the queens aside so hellions get into the natural.
|
|
That was the best widowmine hit I've seen since the nerf

Omnomnom, tasty Zerg.

What an enjoyable game, both in execution and presentation - 9.1
|
|
Damn, Curious vs Dream game 2 was actually a really good game
|
|
This is what I expect from Curious! After those games vs Innovation I have him rated as almost unbeatable in ZvT lategame.
|
Curious looked really calm in those pressured situations. Dream putting on the heavy aggression but Curious showed he is confident in dealing with it
|
Great game, constant action. Really liked how curious used every second the marines were out of position to snipe medivacs with his muta ball.
|
Really cool game! Gotta love ZvT on Whirlwind, often a lot of action!
|
really awesome game, I like the mine hits so much better, no more 1 second splash everything dies moment, more of a constant trading reengaging positional game

Mutas are not strong on their own though, it's always in combination with banelings or some kind of pressure somewhere else.

one more hit, so close lol

Curious is like Soulkey overloaded. Instead of the small packs of 4-6 banelings he runs like 20 into the mineral lines, destroying everything.

We need an in game mine counter showing how much raw damage they have dealt to zerg units and terran units respectively.

I dunno, zerg has a hard time affording hive as it is, often getting at least 2-1 before it. Hard to make second spire worth it imo.

For some reason Curious looks like he'd fit quite well in a korean street gang of sort.

Nice try Dream but Curious is still a beast in ZvT. He should qualify regardless since he already stomped Effort and Oz dropped a map to Select.

No, it was because Mutas were only used for a short while in WoL games, they wanted mutas to be viable for a longer period during each game.

Trying to find a source for you. But WM bio-mine parades were an invention after Hots and didn't seem like it was integral to the game, so it's hard to imagine that Blizzard made mutas stronger with the bio-WM parade push in mind.

You can't really nerf mutas right now, it's by far the most important zerg unit in TvZ, zerg absolutely depends on it, and it's also very crucial for ZvP. If anything, we need to look at terran factory units, I would say Thors specifically.

Maybe making them a little better might work since 30+ mutas chomp marines for dinner with ling support and mines not doing as well as how it did prepatch

A zerg getting ahead and then throwing the game by being too aggressive, I think I've seen this movie before.

First Oz lags out of the Dailymotion Cup, then the EG vs. CJ showmatch, and now this... He must hate the internet by now.
Also 80 minutes until DreamHack Winter with 3 matches left and this happens... There might be some overlapping.

If it is DDOS, then OZ only has himself to blame by now. There are tons of guides out there on how to protect yourself from DDOS and I'm sure EG has the resources and expertise to help OZ with that.
It may just be shoddy interwebz, but it seems odd that a professional gamer would sit on a terrible connection for this long when he is on the richest team in esports.

Sure he can flood lings but that is not nearly as good as just getting more mutas and a decent baneling count. Past a certain point more lings are just superfluous, they can't get surface area and end up blocking the banes more than anything.

The vision advantage in those situations is kinda big. It's very hard to micro against units you can't see.
|
This is starting to look like late WoL TvZ in that the terran can do damage time after time, but the Z just doesn't die, and slowly moves up in the tech tree - last long enough and you're pretty certain to win. 3 months ago Dream would have already won after all the early-game mistakes by Effort.
|
I feel like Dream needs to wait a little longer between attacks. He never has enough left after each fight to do damage.
Mutaball is getting scary large though because the regen keeps them alive.

I'm watching the event on my phone in a restaurant outside the venue, this is kinda dumb. We're working on it! Unfortunately the stage needs to share LoL and SC2. After the two LoL games it's all SC2 from there. The monitors next to the SC2 booths should show SC2. There is a technical problem there, we are working on it. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks a lot! The problem was solved and a set of TV's were installed next to the stage so that sc2 fans could watch it

Dream and Curious had a glorious second map. Whole series was enjoyable but the second one was really good with constant action.
