I dont think you know what you are talking about if you think JD became known through WCS. sOs was  sHy in BW. He was kinda known but not a great player.
JD is the only person that applies for. And if you look at what he is saying it makes zero sense still. Mvp was a faceless korean in BW and know everyone loves him. Polt wasn't this loved korean terran he is now till he started winning and showing off his personality. JD is known because of his success in tournaments winning tournaments. All these koreans are known as this faceless korean with no personality not because they don't have any but because they rarely can really show it off till they start having success. Case in point Duckdeok crying after winning WCS Eu.
