I enjoyed them, I would definitely find the LR from WCS NA last night, they were worth watching. Hack being just about the only Terran not going with a fast 3rd CC creats some interesting scenarios. HyuN vs. Crank was also entertaining especially the Frost match

Have to say something about the Dark Shrine being a coinflip - it's not. Dark Shrine is a viable tech option in midgame PvP now, whether there's observers + cannons or not. It's basically the harassment route over the immediately to deathball army one. Both are viable. The idea behind the Dark Shrine is to make it hard for your opponent to spread himself out and be on the map. Combined with zealots to snipe cannons it forces your opponent to stay at home. That's what the Dark Shrine is for. Basically like mutas in PvZ. If you need them defensively you can morph archons (not in this case of course since HerO already had a templar archives). It works even better against players who switch from something into colossus tech because that robo will be busy pumping out colossi, not detection and nobody has ever made a random midgame oracle.

Because Check didn't get 3-0 before being defeated by Hero, obviously San got 5 all by himself.... Joker rule helps teams who need an extra player.

If a team doesn't like the joker rule, don't join the league. Simple as that. If you don't like it, don't watch.
Personally I love it, gives players on smaller/lesser known teams a shot at competing, as well as helping smaller teams have a solid roster against big teams. So you're right, San did help WW beat Liquid, obviously. It's not a bad thing.

Should probably just make a team of some diamond players and then pick Innovation as a Joker. :p
It's a nice rule to fill up teams, that's good, but the Joker shouldn't be the by far best player of a team...
That's like in football (soccer) if some 2nd league German team took part in Champion's League and chose Messi as his Joker. :D

I think its a good rule so teams with only 3-4 players are still able to participate and dont run out of players. Also with scheduling its easier, so if one player is missing, then the team can still compete.
for the players its good too because a lot of teams actually have less than 4 players on their roster. So even those get a chance to participate like Dimaga, Tod, Major or from last season Socke and Stardust. i think Grubby played in the qualifier too for some team..
If sc2 was bigger and teams had more money to have more player on their roster that rule wouldnt be necessary. But as it is.. we have to work with what we've got :D
But ATC really grows on me. My favorite sc2 event to follow at the moment.
